Mi Cub — Restaurant in Valencia

Tried to go there woth an 8 year old kid who had a burguer from"the black turtle". The kid doesn't live in Valencia and was longing for that burger. The other 3 adults with him didn't want burger, so we went to "Mi cub". I was there before, food was ok, and they are in the ground floor, good ambiance.

After sitting, we were told to leave because the kid had a burger from elsewhere and they also sell burgers. And?? I understand such a policy so that people won't come there with a big mac and stay for hours drinking water. Mentioned this to the waiter, who called his manager. This guy insisted it was "company policy, as we sell burgers here". Nothing convinced him otherwise.

Well, we went downstairs to "bar x". Told the hostess about the burger, and she said "I also love black turtle burgers " (and bar x, obviously, also sells burgers). We stayed there, spent 200+ euros, the kid finished his burger happily, and Mi Cub won't ever see me or anyone I can tell about this again...

Bar x, on the other hand, has much better food and treats customers...

What a hideous experience. I was visiting Valencia from the United States on holiday to celebrate my doctoral graduation. A friend and I went to the Mercat de Colón to have a bite to eat. Upon sitting, we were completely ignored by the staff. My friend asked for a menu, the waitress never returned with one. In fact, no one returned. They seemed to actively avoid even looking our way. I don't know if we looked too "touristy" or we were underdressed or we were not posh enough, but they deemed us unfit. We sat there for 15 minutes with no service and then left. Have never been treated that way in...
