Milk and Butter — Restaurant in Valencia

Edit to respond to the owner: Telling us multiple times that a table is too small for 3 people is absolutely different from a table being reserved. Nothing like this can get lost in translation. There was no RESERVED card on the table and no one during our 5 minutes conversation about the table, not once mentioned the table being reserved. If you are a small business priding yourself in good treatment it definetely wasn't shown today in any way.

We live in Ruzafa and have been to the cafe a few times before. Today for some reason even though there were only 2 tables taken inside the cafe, we were told the 3 of us (2 adults and a child) can only be seated outside in the heat. It was very confusing as we headed to a table with 3 chairs and we repeatedly were told that the table even though it has 3 chairs is too small for 3 people and we can only seat outside. We have seen many times 3-4 people sitting on the tables inside with no issues. Mind you, the tables inside and outside are exactly THE SAME size. It made absolutely no sense that they wanted us to sit outside. Even the waitress didn't understand why whoever was giving her the order was saying that. I don't know if that lady was the cook/manager or what her role was in the restaurant and what she had against us but she was so rude and lost 3 loyal customers. A gold nugget in a great city!

The thing that surprised us most at M&B is the quality of their food. Unlike some chain restaurants where everything is precooked and then heated/assembled when ordered, at M&B we tasted homemade food with fresh and good quality ingredients. The owner told us the ingredients are bought regularly in the local market. He literally said "We don't serve food we wouldn't serve our family".

My girlfriend and I like to order different things from the menu and share them. We tried the Blueberry Lime Pancakes and the Wild Berries French Toast. Simply delicious!

The staff are friendly and professional. We noticed that some customers addressed them by name, which means they were regulars, and you only go back to a place if you like it...

I’ve been to Milk and Butter a few times now and it is becoming one of my favorite brunch places in València!

I’ve ordered their Biscuit Breakfast Sandwich with sausage and I love that it is made with sausage patties vs links. The last time I went, they ran out of the biscuits (we went around 12:30) but they could replace it was an english muffin. I was disappointed because their biscuits are SO GOOD! My husband ordered a sandwich with the english muffin option and said he enjoyed it.

I opted to try their American breakfast instead which came with bacon, sausage, eggs, potatoes, and toast. The sausage was my favorite and a must try in my opinion!

Next time we go I would love to try their pancakes! They have a small terrace on the outside with only a few tables and a small inside. They allow small dogs inside due to...
