It is a very nice place with great people and tasty food. You have to go there!!! The owner is a great person full of positive energy, and if you do not know what to order, I am sure he will give you the perfect tip. The first feeling when you enter the place is: aaaa I know the waiter/ people since all my life and we are "best buddies" 😁 P.S. I forgot my blue cap there, and unfortunately, it was the last evening in Valencia, I hope somebody will take care of it and enjoy the shade 😅

This is the first time that I was trying some Spanish specialties and I can’t compare with other, but I can say that they are not at the high-level rating that this place has(4.5*). The dishes are OK but not mind blowing so I think 4* are more than enough for this place. It looks and it feels like a place for the people living here, so I think it’s safe to say that this is an authentic Spanish place. I tried several dishes that are in the photo and some sausages .

En general ha sido una buena experiencia, aunque a la comida le falta un poco para estar a la altura del nombre, "taberna vasca". Especialidades de aquella tierra las justas, es más bien un sitio de bravas y croquetas. Las croquetas insípidas, frías, sensación de que estaban hechas desde hace tiempo. A las bravas le faltó crocancia, muy babosas y llenas de aceite, quedan en deuda. Luego me pedí un cojonudo con un pan medio gomoso que no estaba a la altura. La atención es bastante lenta, si te vas a sentar a picar algo, más vale que dispongas de una hora de reloj. 10 min para atendernos y luego otros 10 para traer el pedido, súmale otros 10 para traer la cuenta. Como no venían me levanté y fui a pagar a la caja. El sitio dentro es muy pequeño y compensa más sentarse en la terraza (aunque esté nublado y gon gotas esporádicas como nos ha pasado a nosotros) para no sentirse agobiado porque los camareros están todo el rato caminado, entrando y saliendo y prácticamente te rozan cada vez. Repetiría para probar alguna tapa más, intentando tener otra experiencia. Los precios algo altos. Es verdad que la zona en la que están son más o menos los precios que se manejan pero en este sitio están levemente por encima.

Having been here a number of times before (and loved it), I brought a friend along and told him to look forward to a classic Spanish place.

Unfortunately the service was poor, taking a long time for things to come to the table, being ignored a number of times.

My friend's dish was good at least, whereas my baked eggs with tomato was so overdone it was inedible, totally burnt on the bottom which you could taste. The egg yolks were solid balls. Tried to get attention to say this, took so long I didn't bother. No comment when taking away a dish that was clearly untouched and shouldn't have been served in the first place.

Ok so this is one of the Hidden gems in Valencia I have to say the food here is beyond amazing and the service is very friendly and very attentive not to mention the place has been there I think almost 100 years. it's very casual the hole in the wall but very worth the try and come again a million times because you fall in love.

Price is very very reasonable. About 10€-15€ a person if you order the most expensive wine and the most expensive dish.
