Disappointing Visit to Santagloria Coffee & Bakery - Calle Ruzafa, Valencia
Location: Santagloria Coffee & Bakery, Calle Ruzafa, 14, 46004 Valencia
My husband and I were excited to try Santagloria Coffee & Bakery's location in Valencia after a fantastic experience at their Alicante branch. However, our visit to the Calle Ruzafa location left us disappointed.
The absence of egg dishes, like their mouthwatering eggs benedict, was the first letdown. The menu primarily consisted of sweet pastries, with only a limited selection of croissant sandwiches and empanadas. It was a far cry from the variety we had come to expect.
To compound our disappointment, my husband's choice of pastrami with cheese was unavailable until after 12pm. This lack of flexibility in their offerings was disheartening.
When it came to coffee, the Valencia location fell short once again. They only offered basic coffee options and didn't even have brown sugar available. Such oversights left us feeling frustrated and dissatisfied.
In an attempt to salvage our experience, we resorted to ordering café con leche with vasos con hielo (ice glasses) to create our own iced coffee using hot coffee to melt the sugar. While this improvised solution helped slightly, it couldn't make up for the overall lackluster visit.
Unless you're simply seeking a basic pastry and coffee, we recommend avoiding the Calle Ruzafa location of Santagloria Coffee & Bakery in Valencia. Our previous positive experience in Alicante gives us hope for their potential, but they have work to do to improve their offerings and attention to detail...
Read moreI stopped by for a quick breakfast thinking that is was fantastic having a bakery very close to my hotel for a week, having instead one of the worst experiences on a coffee shop ever! The cashier girl that also takes your order was so rude that I was about to send her to hell cause I donât know who she thinks she is but for sure she feels to be The Boss! She clearly hates tourists for some reason that I donât personally care to investigate but my two quick suggestions would be n1: therapy, always great to help people handling their negative emotions and feelings and 2. Nevertheless, there is always a possibility for you girl: if you canât stand tourists while working in a downtown touristic city and you have zero patience while working (at the highly experinced sight of your twenties) than CHANGE YOUR JOB AND EVERYONE WOULD BE BETTER including that Saint of colleague of yours, making coffees next to you while you are slamming every thing in your hands the whole time and also scrutinizing her for anything she does even when going to tables to clean out stuff! You should be out of that place cause itâs definitely not for you to work in the hospitality industry since you have zero patience for people! The funniest part of the experience was when I didnât see the card machine and she pointing it with an annoyed sight and rudely saying âyou have it thereâ. Peace and love my friend, just find another job so you will probably have a better quality of life and most of all so you donât ruin otherâs people day from...
Read moreA few days ago I went to have a snack with my family, and the truth is that the experience was bad. They gave me a super watery coffee, and when I asked them why they told me they only had decaf. They had no napkins or toilet paper. We wanted to ask for fruit smoothies for the kids and they didn't have any, nor did they have slushies. In addition to that we sat at a table near the bathroom and it smelled super bad and there were...
