Maravilloso, to say the least. If you are looking for a whole gastronomic experience, this is the perfect address for you.
We got lucky as they had a cancellation on the same day, so we managed to get in last minute.
Toshi (the name of the chef) and Felix are amazing human beings. So nice and welcoming. They only do one service here, and it’s only for 10 people.
The menu has 6 dishes + dessert + tea. The ingredients are all fresh and they come from the central market of the city.
Sometimes, the dishes change according to what they find in the market that day.
Since we didn’t speak spanish, either Felix or Toshi explained the story and ingredients behind every dish they served in english with a smile.
The food was mesmerising. The fusion between Asian and European is very much present and well combined.
My fave plate was the tuna with red and green radish, a masterpiece!
It took us 3h to finish the whole experience from end to start.
The dessert was aesthetically pleasing, didn’t even look like food! Strawberries with goat cheese ice-cream, pistachio and a small drip of olive oil for the bitter taste at the end, the best combination I’ve had!
At the end, we’ve had the chance to talk to Toshi and learn about his life story and passion for food, all the way from Osaka to Valencia.
All in all, if you are ever in Valencia or planning to come, please try Toshi’s. Normally, they are fully booked for 2/3 weeks. Make sure to plan this ahead as it’ll be the highlight...

I recently dined at Toshi, an upscale multicourse Japanese-Mediterranean fusion restaurant with a tasca Japanese vibe, and it came highly recommended. The praise was well-deserved in many ways. Chef Toshi has a remarkable talent for selecting top-quality ingredients, which are some of the best I’ve ever tasted. Each dish reflected his skill and careful curation, resulting in a menu that was consistently good.
However, while the ingredients and execution were excellent, I found the cooking to be somewhat conservative. Given the fusion concept, I was hoping for a bit more daring creativity in the dishes. Good ingredients and skilled hands can make a great menu, but there’s potential here to push the boundaries and create something truly extraordinary.
The intimate setting of Toshi, with its limited seating, should ideally provide a personalized and attentive dining experience. Unfortunately, this was not the case during our visit. Despite the small size of the restaurant, we felt somewhat neglected and had to actively seek attention for basic needs like water refills and settling the bill.
Overall, Toshi offers a solid dining experience with high-quality ingredients and competent cooking. With a bit more boldness in the kitchen and improved service, it has the potential to become an outstanding...
Read moreAs not a big seafood fan, I shouldn't be writing this review, but I am going to anyway because I actually enjoyed the experience. My husband took me here for our anniversary so I didn't have much choice ;) What was incredible with the dishes served here was that none of them had the smell usually associated with seafood, and every single dish was expertly paired with veggies or greens. Did not enjoy the tea served at the end. The desert was ok. Overall, it was a fantastic experience with 3 more couples. Every dish was explained well. I only wish the restaurant had a bit more ambiance and a...
