Costera MX — Restaurant in Vigo

Great option for food with flavor. We tried several dishes here including a guacamole, ceviche and two tacos. There was a whole lot of tastes and flavors. The ambiance is nice. They had a lot of hot sauces to try as well.

The frozen margarita was too sweet. It would be good to have a more traditional margarita on the rocks with a better tequila than Jose Cuervo available (maybe it could have been ordered but it was not apparent to me in the menu).

Maybe I have been biased by eating so many tacos in Austin but I didn’t enjoy the tacos we had much. The carnitas tacos made with tuna were a novelty but I wouldn’t order it again. I would rather have carnitas made from pork or tuna that was cooked in a different way instead of to mimic pork. The other taco costeras that won an award was just ok. Absolutely first class in every respect. It may be a Mexican restaurant but it utilises the Galician fish in its delicious offerings. Being novices to Mexican style food we asked our waiter ‘Adoni’ for his recommendations and he delivered in every respect, first class very friendly and professional service, even explaining some of the intricacies of eating the dishes presented to us. They say your first experience of enjoying food is in its visual appearance, that was most certainly true here, but then the flavours, Wow !! We enjoyed our experience here so much that we immediately booked to return again a couple of days later, on the Saturday evening. Fantastic, highly recommended and good value...

We re-booked a couple of days after our first remarkable experience of this exceptional restaraunt. We were not disappointed, this time our waitress was ‘Anna’ she was so lovely, freindly and attentive and made us feel so welcome, as did another waitress but unfortunately we did nor get her name, but a big thank you to both of you. We tried a couple of different dishes this time, I tried the Oysters and I have to say, as with our first visit experience a couple of days earlier, Wow ! Wow ! And Wow !
