I highly recommend this beaut character tavern in Vigo's historic old town port precinct. The venue is founded upon the traditional heavy artisan stonework of the land. Yet the mood within is casual, modern, light and inspiring. The architecture and foods are in joyous harmony and the great Galician-Spanish wine selections definitely help to enhance the appreciation.
Despite the steady stream of tourism at Rua Carral, this team does not sway from presenting their craft with passion. They are young, positive and have their flair. The service was fun, relaxed, engaging and helpful with suggestions.
I appreciate their creative cuisine. It is respectfully founded upon the excellent Galician primary products and recipe concepts. But also blends original creative elaborations and personal fusions inspired from afar.
The menu is short, well considered and focused on their themes. They are not there to please all, but do produce their set menu with integrity.

However, we noticed the tables filling up as we finished dinner. Speaking of dinner, the mango salad with burrata, avocado, and tomato jam is a must try! The sweetness of the mango is balanced perfectly with the creamy burrata and the mango and aioli sauces- truly a showstopper of a salad. The pulpo is another outstanding dish- perfectly tender, well-seasoned, and accompanied beautifully with the sauces and potato-squash(?) mash. The other dishes (tortilla and beef with padrón peppers) were also spectacular, and we left very satisfied. If we ever get the opportunity to come back to Vigo, this restaurant will be the first place on our list! Thank you for the delicious meal...

We ordered their carbonara tortilla and it was 🤤🤤 deliciosoo!! La pedimos poco hecha y fue exactamente lo que queriamos. Nos han creado una nueva necesidad jajajajaj. We ordered carasatu sardiña which was tasty but the sardine is a bit too salty for our liking, although the tomato seco and the cebolla helped balance it. Aaaand we also ordered their zamburiñas which was top! Btw not sure what they do with their olives but it was unique & tasty. We’d gladly come back because not only they serve good food but also a...
