La Choza — Restaurant in Yaiza

Pool bar by day which is great, has its purpose and should be left as such. But come an evening it becomes one of the hotels “speciality” restaurants. As a steak house you’d expect decent quality and a difference from what is served in the main buffet restaurant area, but no.

The quality of the food was awful, the starters are the same dishes served as the help yourself options at the pool bar, and the main course was atrocious. We ordered the mixed BBQ for two and as you can see in the picture everything was cremated and inedible. The meat was tough and dry. They did offer to change it but being an all inclusive resort if we were still hungry we’d have walked back over to the buffet restaurant instead of sampling anything else.

As a grill restaurant you think grilling some meat to a standard temperature would be doable but clearly not. I would not recommend booking this as one of your restaurants for your stay, you will be very disappointed. The staff were friendly and the service was reasonable but...
