Started off ok, was seated straight away from what I can only assume was the restaurant's manager, second me and my other half sat down however we were met by another table adjacent to us who mocked us and our attire, we stayed the course and waited on a server to bring us a menu being that we had already viewed the dishes previous people had ordered and were looking forward to something different.
Sadly these were brought to us by a very sour faced waitress who showed disgust at the fact I didn't wish to drink wine but then forcefully pushed the wine menu into my hands regardless, of which we did not appreciate. (Being a T1 Diabetic I cannot drink any wines due to high sugar content so sadly missed out on their very extensive wine list)
We decided to have a look through the menu regardless as we wanted to have a nice night out and didn't want a few bad apples to ruin the evening, however the menu was sadly very badly written and it's font made matching up items and prices very difficult not to mention hard to read.
At this point we still had the table next to us making rude remarks and giving us side glances while sampling their wine orders, this could be said for the majority of the restaurant and staff who were very obviously showing their distain towards myself and my other half, we were naturally dressed for the climate and even then were not under dressed in the slightest.
At this point we vacated the restaurant as we did not feel welcome and thus had lost our appetite, on our way out we were again greeted with distainful looks from the staff and manager.
We instead re visited the adjacent restaurant Ristorante Italiano Luna Rosa of whom made us feel welcomed and honestly saved our last night from being a...
Read moreDespite enjoying delicious food, our dining experience was unfortunately marred by some challenges. It's important to highlight areas for improvement in a constructive manner. While the cuisine was exceptional, we noticed a disconnect in the service provided by the staff. Despite our efforts to communicate our preferences, there seemed to be a lack of attentiveness and enthusiasm from the team.
For instance, when we politely requested for a guest (female) to be served first, we were met with a response that didn't align with our expectations. Instead of accommodating our request, we were informed of a standard procedure that didn't quite suit the occasion. Additionally, it was evident that some staff members lacked familiarity with the menu offerings and wine selections, which diminished our overall dining experience.
This was particularly disappointing as we had traveled a considerable distance, spanning over 3,000 kilometers, to reunite with family and unwind. We had hoped for a memorable and enjoyable time together, but unfortunately, the service fell short of our expectations.
Moving forward, we believe that investing in more comprehensive training for the staff in both customer service and product knowledge would greatly enhance the overall atmosphere of the establishment. Encouraging genuine engagement with patrons and fostering a culture of attentiveness and responsiveness would undoubtedly contribute to a more positive and fulfilling dining experience for all guests. We offer this feedback with the sincere intention of helping improve the establishment, as we believe it has great potential to excel in both culinary delights and customer...
Read moreI came to sebastyans recommend by 2 people, on the outside it looks like any other restaurant, inside looks lovely, well set out and a great view, but from the moment me and my girlfriend walked in it felt like we were being judged for being a little casual, we weren't allowed to order starters and mains separately and waited maybe 10 minutes for 2 simple drinks. Our starters came and were quite nice, fresh, but not quick. Our main were delivered after a nearby tables even though both tables had starters. My main was underwhelming and under seasoned, very plain and I was not happy with it, the waitress asked if I would like another meal and I told her no, she then asked if I'd like my current meal for takeaway, also no, as I didn't like it. But by far the worst thing about this place was the service, no smiles, just condescending looks, we were never asked if we wanted more drinks, it was hard to get the attention of any waitress, and they had the audacity to hand me the main I didn't like nor want in a takeaway bag as we left, if I could give less than one star, I would, I would not recommend this place to anybody with a palate or people who like at least a bit of...
