We originally came here in 2014 & had an awful experience. We always give places a 2nd chance & have just returned and found that it's equally as terrible.
The first time my missus ordered a mojito, which in a place that claims to be a cocktail bar you'd expect to be a pretty easy order to facilitate. It was terrible. They made it with mouldy mint, lemonade (not soda) and lime cordial!
I took it back to the little bar & asked for an alternative cocktail to replace it. To my amazement both of the girls behind the bar tried the drink and tried to say there was nothing wrong with it, despite the awful taste! They even asked if I'd keep it as any replacements came out of their pocket!! After declining their less than generous offer they replaced it for something else, but it didn't end there.
One of the girls came to where we were sitting solely to say to all of us that there was nothing wrong with the drink & we were all wrong - how's that for customer service?! We've all had plenty of mojitos in our time & that drink didn't even resemble a mojito.
Anyway, 4 years later we're back at the same place in Lanzarote and thought let's give it a 2nd chance. Turns out the same girl is still there & funnily enough she's not gained any customer services skills in that time.
My missus thought she'd play it even safer than last time and asked for a "King Royal" a.k.a as a Kir Royale - a glass of champagne with some cassis. It arrived in a long cocktail glass with 3 large ice cubes & it certainly wasnt champagne, which for €8 isn't on. The service was terrible once again - the staff spent the whole time we were there chatting on the next table down from us, they didn't even notice we left having drank less than a quarter of our cocktails.
This place certainly won't get a third chance. Shame because it looks great & plays decent music, but the drinks & more than that the service are absolutely abysmal. Funnily enough we saw another couple order a cocktail each and leave 5 mins later so it amazes me they've got the level of reviews they have. Maybe it's better in high season - well in fairness it can't...
Read moreWe visited last Saturday night after eating at Luna above (which is excellent) and had a great evening. There was live music, a great atmosphere and good service. So we decided to return on Tuesday evening, and unfortunately this was very different experience. The bar was relatively busy, and whilst not live, the music was good - however the service was bad / borderline terrible. There was only one waitress and a barman working. At one point the waitress took a 10min break - so nobody at all was serving. Even when she was working tables were waiting a good 10-15 mins to even order, and in some cases had to resort to going upto the bar to make themselves known and/or pay. I understand it’s only just reopened and perhaps was busier than anticipated, but they really need to address the...
Read moreThis was a fantastic find! Cosy little outdoor cocktail bar with comfy chairs and a great view of the Marina. The staff were very friendly and helpful and were happy to suggest other cocktails they could make off the menu card!! My wife and I tried a couple from the menu and they were delicious and VERY strong, they were so nice we went back another evening and had 3 more each! ..... (We had to get a taxi home :-D) The cocktails were €5 each, cheap and well worth it. There are glass screens outside to give some protection if there was a breeze and this time of year (January) the supplied warm blankets were very much appreciated although had we were sat in short sleeve tops!! If you are in the area this venue is well...
