On every holiday, my partner and I seek out an Italian restaurant for a decent meal. Reviews directed us to Luna Rossa and we were not disappointed.
Welcomed straight through the door, seated quickly with drinks and some dough balls in which we drizzled some balsamic vinegar and olive oil over. Service was incredibly prompt and after an incredibly short wait the starters were on the table. Rest assured it didn't take long for them to be off the table and in our bellies. Another very short wait and our mains were in front of us, piping hot, looking and smelling delicious. We took our time with the main course as it was so good we didn't want it to end. After a small rest we were still full but felt it would be rude not to at least look at the dessert menu, followed by a swift order of puddings which were equally savoured. Staff were amazing, very attentive and all dressed with a smile and a friendly attitude. Atmosphere was alive, but with a set of ambiance that gave it character.
Then came the dreaded bill..
Super reasonable prices for the amount of food consumed, so subsequently a tip was left also.
Keep up the good work, will be...

This was our second visit, having been before on our last visit to Lanzarote.
It was even better this time. The food ambience and service were as good as last time. But added to that is a new modern look.
We sat on the balcony, with the rest of the restaurant opened up via drawn-back glass bifold doors. So everyone had a feel of being outside. A lovely atmosphere.
We went as a family enjoyed drink and food. The starters were delicious, almost too much food. The pasta dishes we chose were cooked well and very tasty.
And relaxing with dessert, coffee and a brandy, looking across the water to Fuertaventura is as good a way to finish an evening as I can think of right now.
To top it all the staff are attentive and engaging, without being too intrusive. A great balance.
A wonderful evening for my wife, I and our...
Read moreI have never such a disgusting dinner. Pappardelle Luna Rosa; Sand in the Mussels, Mussels cooked like chewing gum, Spaghetti of the worst quality and still hard after cooking. Pappardelle con carne. Pappardelle still hard after cooking and the cheapest from the supermarket. Pizza Margherita. Dough not cooked in the middle, tomato sauce disgusting, cheese hard. Spaghetti Bolognese, sauce smells and tastes like old meat. Disgusting. All over all, the restaurant owner discounted us 20€ from the 67€ bill for five persons, afterwards still hungry. Staff don't know what to do - owner stays shouting at them all the time. Way too much staff for that narrow location. To sum it up: Don't eat there. It's not good and the owner don't likes criticism. I hate me for paying that bill, even if it was discounted. I shouldn't have payed more...
