I live and work here in Playa blanca hotels. For me this season the restaurant was new. I visited in December and the food was spot on and amazing staff. No problems!
However- we visited in a large group ( 16 hotel reps) on the 31Jan. The food was great, however the staff didn't know how to attend to so many clients and considering the restaurant wasn't full it was pretty poor service. The staff was pushing us to buy poppadoms multiple times. Then when the drink order came it was hold your hand up if you want this meaning we ended up with more drinks than expected. Then the worst part was the bill - we often eat out in a large groups and never have a problem paying the bill separately. However this time the man taking the money was just making up random figures in his head for example I should have paid 11.95 + 7% IGIC Tax meaning = 12.78 ... but I was charged 14 and this was with a discount apparently!!!!. Also I don't know many restaurants that don't included the 7% into the prices on the menu ! SCAM - having small print at the back isnt enough....
Regarless it was alot more tha 7% some of my colleagues said they paid up to 3-6 euros more than expected. .... which is a very high 7% and a "discount"!! Total SCAM!!
The restaurant wouldn't give us individual bills which I understand as a large group but also that doesn't mean they needed to take more money !.
I pointed out to the staff member the mistake with the money and that it's unfair, he then was flustered and offered us a free bottle of Cava and soft drinks to take away with us. I believe he realised it was wrong what he did. We have never had this service before and we won't be returning and will go to Imagine Indian, Playa Blanca.. who always managed to split the bill correctly and quickly !!
I definitely recommend to managment of this company to look into this ! As it's not okay and you will...
Read moreWe visited Tamasha during our visit to Playa Blanca. Typically, curries aren't usually something we go for whilst on holiday, but after looking at the menu board a couple of days earlier on a walk, we decided to try it. The waiters were incredibly friendly and extremely knowledgeable around their menu and the ingredients and spices within each dish, which made choosing a lot easier for us. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, and had availability for large and small groups. We ordered the prawn korma and chicken tikka masala with some rice and garlic naan. It was probably the best curry I have ever had, and was extremely enjoyable. One of the waiters ended up with a spare popadom, so handed it to us for free, and were also given a complimentary shot when getting the bill. When visiting, the waiters will hand you a little business card, which you can redeem for a discount. The restaurant also overlooks the water, so has some beautiful views. Overall we had a great time visiting, and would 100%...
