Visited for 1st time as we were landing late and confirmed b4 hand that we could still get some food after checking in at our hotel. Friendly welcome from staff. Also, owner Jimmy introduced himself to us. We njoyed brushetta roma to share. Pizza pepperoni and a pizza calabria and a very reasonable bottle of white wine at €16.90. All our food was delicioso and thoroughly enjoyed. We also njoyed a beer or two on an afternoon sitting at the front of the restaurant people watching. Return visit we njoyed sharing garlic bread, lasagne roma, lasagne seafood. Cappuccino's and wine. We met up with friends after they had also eaten here and njoyed a wine with them, again staff were brilliant, they remembered us from our previous visit, and we had a laugh with them about putting the heaters on. Another visit, we njoyed avocado with prawns and tomatoes and garlic bread to share, spaghetti roma and spaghetti anchovy, and a Tiramisu, again food delicioso and very well presented, staff again were chatty and friendly. Our last visit we had pizza pepperoni and a calzone bbq with a bottle of wine, finished off with a cappuccino and an Irish Coffee. Again food was fantastic, and staff wonderful, they all made us feel so welcome on all our visits, Jimmy the owner always came over to say hello to us. This restaurant has such a great relaxed atmosphere, there is no rush for you to eat and go. you can also order food from the Indian Namaste menu (next door) to have here, ideal if you dont all want Italian. Highly Recommend a visit here. We will see you All again in...
Read moreI would strongly advise avoiding this restaurant. The overall experience was extremely poor from start to finish.
Our server, Vularia, was abrupt and dismissive. She even brought us the wrong dish, and when I politely pointed out that it wasn’t what I had ordered, she insisted it was, aggressively repeating back something I never said (grilled chicken). After waiting again for my meal to be replaced, my companion had already finished their food.
Unfortunately, the quality of the food was no better. The lasagne resembled a cheap microwave meal, with bland, tasteless meat. My replacement dish, the breaded chicken, came with chips that were clearly reheated from a previous plate, overcooked and dripping in oil.The chicken itself tasted like a frozen piece dropped into a fryer, with no flavour whatsoever.
For this disappointing experience, two subpar meals and three drinks, the bill came to €55, which is outrageous for the quality we received. To make matters worse, there was no apology for the mistakes. Another server eventually brought my meal, but at the end, when I shared feedback, they seemed uncaring and unconcerned. Never offered an apology.
It’s worth noting that we were the only customers in the restaurant at the time, so it cannot be excused as being busy or understaffed.
Terrible service, poor food, and no sense of hospitality. Definitely not...
Read moreSo I wandered into this little Italian spot while on holiday, already a couple of bevraginos deep – you know the vibe. I was feeling adventurous, in the mood for something bold, maybe even… a high-quality Spanish pizza (from an Italian place – stay with me). And weirdly enough, that’s exactly what I got.
I went for the seafood option, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Who knew I liked clams? Apparently I do – cheers to personal growth via pizza.
The atmosphere? Well, let’s just say “intimate.” The tables are packed in like sardines, so unless you’re into sharing eye contact and life stories with the table next to you, be prepared. Bonus: I got to experience a full domestic argument from the couple to my right. Free entertainment, I guess.
The only real downside was the card machines breaking at the end. We weren’t allowed to leave until it was sorted, so we ended up stuck there for an extra 20 minutes. Would’ve been nice to get a free drink for the trouble – but hey, can’t win ’em all.
Overall? Not bad. Quirky experience, tasty food, and a few unexpected laughs. Give it a go – just maybe bring cash and a...
