The servers here are absolutely lovely. However when we received our food (carbonara and spaghetti bolognese) The pasta was rubbery and both dishes were stone cold. The server was very apologetic when he took it away as we had only eaten one bite each. The owner, who was extremely rude then came out and told us we had to pay as we ate the food, both plates were still completely full. I said I would happily pay for the drinks and the garlic bread which we only had 2 slices of because it was extremely oily. He then called the police and told them we wouldnât pay because it was cold and showed them the plate was hot as it had clearly been in a hot cabinet when they took it back which then led to the police forcing us to pay. I have never been spoken to so rudely by anyone in the service industry and would avoid this place. Such a shame as the rest of the staff were lovely.
Edit: After seeing the below response from the owner I would like to point out we never once said we were used to this treatment in England. I asked him to leave our table as he threatened to call the police so we couldnât leave and his presence was making me anxious and uncomfortable. We ate a mouthful of the dish once it arrived at our table and realised it was not a good standard (absolutely not half of the dish) once we were approached by a member of very understanding staff I was very polite, I even apologised as I felt bad and I hate complaining and everything was fine until the owner came out telling us we were wrong. Not once while in playa blanca on my holiday have I said Iâm not willing to pay the bill as all the other restaurants have been absolutely brilliant. By âinsultingâ the owner I believe he means calling him rude as well as the police officers (to be fair their English was not great so this may not have been fair however they were arguing with us) - we also offered to pay for our drinks and garlic bread which was more than fair but he was not having it. I have now seen in other reviews we are not the first to have this treatment and Iâm sure we wonât be the last. As for âkicking and breaking a plantâ that is a bit excessive. My partner was angry at the owner for causing me to cry in his restaurant from the anxiety I had experienced and if anything lightly brushed it on the way past. This is actually the first time I have ever written a negative review for anywhere me and my partner are good people who hate complaining, but the owner is a bully and a liar and I canât not make people aware of this...
Read moreOne word describes this.. pretentious... And read the full response from"The Owner" which proves my point... If you knew the "she" you know she doesn't know what nastiness is... Again, my point was proven...
Overall, this place is pretentious... lots of prancing around and seeming busy, important, very busy and very special... Salad and pizza were average at best... They brought up the overall rating I would give this place. When we left there were more people there, but far from the "we're sold out but we have this back corner table for you two old folks" No need to worry about running into us here.
$43 dollars for a pizza, two drinks and a salad is high for Spain and for this market also, especially since there was nothing special about the...

I must start by saying the staff were nice and my bruschetta starter was very nice too, but unfortunately everything went downhill from there. The prawn starter was luke warm and not great. The tricolour pizza looked very appetising and was very generous on the pesto so I was excited to dig in, however the pizza sauce was completely tasteless so it was just salty dough, salty cheese and salty pesto. Not an enjoyable meal. I would have called over a waiter and asked for a different dish (something I have never done before in my life), but as a vegetarian, the only other options would have also included the tasteless tomato sauce. The lemon chicken was very dry, and again the sauce was completely tasteless and basically just water. The expensive chicken dish also came with just potatoes and no vegetables at all. Then the bill came. We noticed immediately when ordering how expensive everything was in comparison to the rest of the marina and picked cheaper options as a result. In particular, they're charging âŹ19 for a bottle of la Geria wine, which is about âŹ8 in supermarkets and âŹ14 in other restaurants. The worst thing for me was that they give you bread without asking then charge you for it. My ultimate pet peeve. We considered the price of it as the tip. Never in my life have I had to give a negative review or not tipped. As regulars to the area we have never visited this restaurant before as it was always empty in comparison to the rest of the marina and we considered that a bad sign....
