We had a delicious dinner here, sat on the terrace at a table with gorgeous views of the square, surrounded by the beautiful, historic, stone buildings of Ubeda. Our waiter Rafael could not have been more attentive and charming and made the evening really special. The ambience of the restaurant was relaxed but buzzing, every table packed (we were so glad we’d pre-booked). I had grilled cod and my partner had Iberican pork and patatas a la pobre - all delicious. Lovely wine, and the Luis Felipe brandy at the end just rounded it all off to perfection. It's a good idea that they made their menu like a newspaper. They made some inventions on the source which is really good. But apart from that, the dishes are traditional ones.
The waiters are very friendly especially two of them. One organized the table very well and the other gave a very good introduction to their menu. But somehow we placed the order we saw the whole picture with the third waiter. So the missing star goes to the little imperfection in the service and a lack of signature dish.
