Colombo Folks — Restaurant in Colombo

Went to Colombo Folks last weekend for a Drink. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was awesome – there was a great vibe with live music session that really set the mood for a fun evening.

The food was definitely a highlight. Everything we ordered, from the hot butter cuttlefish to the Mix Grill and Fried rice, was not only delicious but also reasonably priced. It's rare to find such great taste without breaking the bank! We also appreciated that BYOB was allowed, which is always a nice bonus.

Met the friendly owner, Ashan, who warmly welcomed us and even took the time for a quick chat. His hospitality really added a personal touch to an already fantastic experience.

Saw this place on the way home and decided to grab a quick takeaway. Bad choice. Chinese Dragon, 88 Chinese, Peach Valley or even Suki's Wok would have been better options!

Ordered- Wok fried chicken noodles regular 1090/= Nothing wok fried about it. Think boiled noodles with MSG with scraps of chicken and veg. Almost little to no chicken.

Hot butter cuttlefish 1990/= Never have I seen such thinly cut peices of cuttle fish. Not good at all

Singapore style chicken 1850/= Nothing singapore style about it at all. Barely any peices of chicken drenched in sauce. Huge peices of ginger that were the size of the peices of chicken. More ginger than chicken.

Veg fried rice large 1200/= Rice + MSG + scraps of veg....
