While Tasty Caterers may be known for their good food, their customer service when things go wrong is absolutely disappointing. I placed an order from CafĂ© 97, which included 4 portions of their premium salad (priced at 1,650/- each) and some mixed grill platters. The salad was supposed to include green apple, walnuts, pomegranate, and feta cheese. However, I later realized that key ingredientsâwalnuts and feta cheeseâwere missing from all portions.
The following morning, I contacted CafĂ© 97, and their manager, Noel, admitted they had missed these ingredients. His solution? âWhen you come next time, Iâll do something about your salad.â The dismissive attitude and lack of concern were shocking. We filed an official complaint the same day, but a whole week passed with no response. Only after following up did we finally speak with Shervin, a marketing staff member who admitted he doesnât usually handle complaints. His lack of empathy and accountability was evident from the start.
Shervin initially tried to blame the delivery driver, claiming he had stolen the missing ingredientsâdespite the fact that Noel had already acknowledged their mistake. When confronted, Shervin backtracked, admitting they were too busy with other things to address our complaint properly.
To make matters worse, I repeatedly asked for Kanthi Jayamahaâs (the owner of Tasty Caterers) contact details, but the team refused to provide itâprobably to shield themselves from accountability and avoid addressing these issues directly.
Ms.Kanthi, this review is for your attention. Your staff clearly lacks the professionalism and competence to handle customer complaints. I am requesting a full refund for the salad order, not only because of the missing ingredients but also due to the unnecessary hassle and disrespectful attitude displayed...
   Read moreGenerally, I quite like food from Tasty. This morning I decided to pick something up and then changed my mind to sit inside and eat...and unfotunately it was quite a poor experince.
The Food: Got an egg sandwich, beef sanwich, and fish patty. Fish patty was fine - no complains. Beef sandwich had a generous amount of meet - but was bland - it needed more mustard sauce or something as it was dry too. The egg sandwich tasted more like poor margarine than egg. It needed salt, pepper, snd more egg instead of margarine. Overall, not thrilled with today's food I got.
The Service: The staff this morning were less than friendly (no good morning or smile) and didn't seem pleased when I asked for a plate and wanted to sit inside after changing my mind. The 'take away' bag didn't have a single paper napkin and neither did the table I sat down to eat at...so until I specifically asked for a napkin, it wasn't even anything the staff considered (they were not busy at all - just oblivious and didn't care). Overall, they had an attitude as if they were doing us a favor...
...this is until I noticed how filthy the chairs were and confronted them about it and started taking pictures. This is when sheepish smiles and a more welcoming attitude was adopted.
The Atmosphere: I don't have much good to say here. It was disgusting and unacceptable. I expected (probably incorrectly) a lot better from Tasty. Refer to the images of the filthy chairs attached as it would speak volumes...
Management at Tasty - really hope you act quickly to rectify...
   Read moreOrdered catering for the 23 of Dec, 23, when I went to pickup the order from their main location on fife road (as informed) I was told that it had not come there and to go and pick it up from the kitchen! No one bothered to call me and inform me that it hadnât arrived. For them it maybe close by, but for me, it wasted more than 30 minutes of my time that I did not have to waste.
Upon reaching the kitchen, the food was not ready and I was asked to wait until they prepared 1 dish. By the time my guests arrived I was still waiting for them to finish my order which was placed for 6.30, I was at their fife road location at 7 and went to their kitchen by 7.30 (after waiting downstairs and then speaking to the one person who was in their office at the time). Even at 7.55 I was still waiting.
Since I was at the kitchen, they loaded the food directly into my vehicle, without any surrounding light to check the food order.
I was missing orders of 2 main items, and 1 bite order. I had to make a seperate order as we ran out of these items. I informed tasty of it and was called subsequently the next working day. Was told to give them sometime to investigate and rectify but 3 weeks later and still no update. Itâs always someone is getting back tomorrow...
