Visited Maniumpathy Café on a Poya day for lunch with a group of six, and it turned out to be a lovely experience. We tried a variety of dishes — the Authentic Jaffna Thali with Chicken, Fish, and Jackfruit curries, along with Elvis’ Fried Chicken, Coconut Crumbed Prawns with Mango Salsa, and a refreshing Strawberry Lassi.
Each Thali came beautifully plated with three vegetable curries, curd, pickle, rasam, payasam, and papadam. The vegetable curries were excellent — fresh, flavourful, and well-balanced — but the highlight was definitely the Payasam, which had the perfect sweetness and creamy consistency.

Read moreBeautiful, homely, peaceful and such a serenely place. Loved every bit of the architecture and landscaping. Food was so delicious with unique and complex flavors in each dish. Taste wise, food presented to us stays among the top five best tasted dishes we had in Sri Lanka. Potion sizes and plating were exceeding expectations. Price was surprisingly low compared to the taste and the presentation of the food. We didnt expect that much of a low price given that the place is a boutique hotel. Mr.Kuruppu who served us was super friendly, courteous and highly professional. Love the experience and we will surely visit again with family and friends. Keep up the quality and...

The management team couldn’t have been more helpful, resolving the issue with no fuss, and getting me a fantastic room. The hotel is an old family home, but I has been beautifully converted, with very stylish rooms overlooking a pool area. Breakfast of traditional egg hopper with chicken curry was delicious, coming with expert advice as to how to eat which was very welcome. There are ‘western’ options available for those that prefer this. I definitely recommend for a relaxing...
