Yo, wave riders and brunch connoisseurs! 🌞🍴After a wild ride on Sri Lanka's rollercoaster of bus trips, I stumbled upon a true haven in the heart of Colombo - The Seed Café. This place isn’t just a café; it’s an oasis of calm in the bustling city, a tranquil lagoon where you can recharge your batteries with some seriously sublime grub. 🌱🌟
Walking into The Seed Café, I instantly felt the city's hustle and bustle wash away, like kicking out of a heavy wave and finding yourself in a serene, glassy lagoon. The vibe? Pure chill. It’s like this spot is channeling the laid-back essence of a secluded beach, right there in the urban jungle. 🏝️✨
The brunch menu was a game-changer. It wasn't just food; it was a culinary adventure, a tasty wave that I was all too stoked to ride. Every dish was a masterpiece, crafted with the kind of love and care that makes you feel like you're dining in a friend's kitchen - if your friend was a world-class chef harnessing the vibrant flavors of Sri Lanka. 🍳🌶️
I dove into a dish that was an absolute revelation. Talking 'bout freshness that makes your taste buds pop up like they're catching their first wave. Each bite was a mix of local flavors and ingredients so fresh, you'd think they'd been gathered at dawn's break by the island's best. The Seed Café isn't just serving food; they're serving vibes, health, and happiness on a plate. 🥗💖
And let's not breeze past the atmosphere of this rad spot. Nestled away from the city's roar, it’s like stepping into a secret garden where time slows down, and the only thing that matters is the present moment. The energy? It’s as if the café is hugged by a gentle wave, enveloping you in a bubble of peace and zen. 🍃🌀
Sipping on my perfectly brewed coffee, I took a moment to soak it all in. The Seed Café was more than just a brunch spot; it was a sanctuary where the food heals, comforts, and delights. It's a place where wanderers, dreamers, and foodies converge to share a meal that feels like a warm embrace. ☕️🤗
In the heart of Colombo, amidst the chaos and the charm, The Seed Café stands as a testament to what happens when passion for food meets the pursuit of wellness. It's a must-visit, not just for the food, but for the experience - an island of tranquility in the metropolitan tide, a place that nourishes the soul as much as the body. 🌆🌿
Rating it? Easy. 10/10 waves, catching each one with the stoked anticipation of what's yet to come. If life's an adventure, The Seed Café is the treasure chest at the end of the journey, filled with the jewels of flavors, wellness, and good vibes. 🌊🔮
Peace out and stay stoked, my fellow brunch adventurers. May your travels always lead you to places as rad as The...
Read moreMy wife and I visited Seed Cafe for the first time and had a positive experience overall. The cafe is a popular self-service brunch spot in Colombo, with a cozy and inviting atmosphere. They offer a variety of vegan options on their menu, and we noticed that many foreigners were present during our visit.
While we waited for our food, we noticed that the cafe had a chessboard available for customers to use. We decided to play a game of chess, which was a fun way to pass the time. It's great to see that Seed Cafe offers additional entertainment options for their customers.
My wife enjoyed the Turkish-style eggs, which she found delicious. However, I tried the Mexican Chipotle Bowl with chicken and didn't enjoy it as much. I think it might be because I'm not used to eating healthy food, and the taste of the beans and kale wasn't to my liking. Despite this, the avocado and onion salsa was a highlight for me. We also ordered drinks to go with our meals. My wife had the Narang Thirst Quencher, which was a refreshing mix of narang, basil seeds, water, treacle, and mint. I had the Black Magic, a unique blend of pineapple, blackberries, king coconut water, and activated charcoal. Both drinks were delicious and complemented our meals well.
We appreciated the attention to detail at Seed Cafe, from the decor to the presentation of the food. The staff were friendly and attentive, and our meals were served promptly. Although the cafe is self-service, we found the overall experience to be enjoyable and stress-free.
Overall, we had a great experience at Seed Cafe and plan to visit again to try other dishes on the menu. If you're someone who enjoys healthy food, then this cafe is definitely worth a visit. However, if you're like me and not used to eating healthy, then the taste of some dishes might take some getting used to. Nonetheless, the vegan options and delicious drinks make Seed Cafe a great brunch spot to check...
Read moreI don’t usually leave reviews unless I am saying nice things but I feel a duty to warn people about this. My husband and I were really looking forward to eating here; the menu is great and everything sounds amazing. Unfortunately the food did not at all deliver. I ordered a hummus bowl - there was no red pepper onion relish in the bowl, there was barely any dressing at all and what was there I couldn’t taste, the mushrooms were raw, which is not stated on the menu and not executed well at all, they were not well pickled or marinated, just flavorless raw mushroom.. I’m also pretty dubious about the hummus, there wasn’t much of it and it didn’t seem like it was made of chickpeas or contained any tahini - it didn’t taste of much at all. My husband had the vegan beanie burger which on the menu lists all these awesome toppings and sauces, but it didn’t have any of them - no onions, no avocado, no relish, definitely no tofu tahini spread, it was completely basic and not what the menu advertised. The burger patty itself I personally thought was tasty but that isn’t really good enough 😂 My drink was the Black Magic which was supposed to be activated charcoal, pineapple, blackberry and coconut water - I’m 100% sure the pineapple juice in this was from a carton which is INSANE in Sri Lanka! Maybe they were having a bad day.. The food would have been reasonably priced if it was actually good but unfortunately this was the most disappointing meal we’ve had in Colombo. A very visually nice place, staff are polite but not very attentive, sorry to say the food is...
