Title: Extremely Dissatisfying Experience at Java Lunge
Rating: ★☆☆☆☆
I recently had the unfortunate opportunity to dine at Java Lunge, and I must say it was an incredibly disappointing experience. From the moment I walked in, I encountered numerous issues that left me with a negative impression of this establishment.
First and foremost, the lack of power in the plug points was incredibly frustrating. As a customer who wanted to use my laptop while enjoying a meal, it was essential to have functioning plug points readily available. Unfortunately, the ones at Java Lunge were either faulty or simply ineffective. This inconvenience severely hindered my ability to work and made the overall experience extremely inconvenient.
Moreover, the attitude and behavior of the manager were absolutely appalling. I found their lack of customer service skills to be deeply disappointing. The manager seemed disinterested and did not know how to communicate with customers properly. They were unresponsive to queries and appeared completely disengaged from their role. Such a negative interaction with the manager only added to the overall disappointment of my visit.
Additionally, one would expect a basic level of service in a restaurant. However, Java Lunge fell short in this regard as well. It was disheartening to see that they did not like to serve food to the seats. Instead, they insisted on customers coming up to the counter to collect their orders. This not only disrupted the dining experience but also displayed a lack of attention to customer comfort and convenience.
Overall, I cannot recommend Java Lunge based on my experience. The lack of power in the plug points, the manager's poor customer service skills, and the refusal to serve food to the seats were all major letdowns. I sincerely hope that the management takes these criticisms seriously and implements necessary improvements to provide a better dining experience for their customers...
Read moreI have been a regular at this branch and 2 others (bamba and recently Nawala) for years. Have had work related meetings, spent a lot of personal time here, and this branch has been the go to place for a meet-up with friends..
However today, I am very disappointed by the service received, and it's so sad that I'll never be stepping foot into this branch, and maybe beacaue of this, the other branches as well, ever again.
A group of friends and I met today at around 7, and were having a casual conversation, apparently, the store manager didn't like that, and rudely asked us to leave as we were loud, mind you, we had bought stuff, and during all these years have seen multiple groups of people meeting up here and having a good time. He even threatened a friend that he'll call cops if we don't leave (like for real?). It was disappointed to the point that I just left together with the whole group with the firm intention of never stepping foot again.
I have easily introduced over 30 people and brought them to this establishment, and myself have been regular to the point that I frequent 2-3 times a week. Needless to say I spend quite a decent some here every month, and today I regret all of this.
The management should look into the behaviour of this store manager who has no respect towards regular customers (again, mind you, he recognised on how regular I have been here) and acts like he owns the place.
Very sad and disappointed....
Read moreHad a terrible experience at Java Lounge Barnes place last night because of the way the Store Manager behaved. We sat in the first floor and there was absolutely no one else upstairs except for our group (10-12people).The store manager came to us and called one of our friends and started talking to him in a raised voice. He said that my friend should have informed the store manager if he was bringing a crowd in, that we were loud and demanded that we leave the coffee shop. Regardless of how nicely my friend and few others were trying to talk to him, he got more and more aggressive and said that he would call cops on us when we had done nothing wrong but purchased items from the shop and enjoyed each others’ company. The store manager could have communicated his concerns if there were any in a better manner, instead he waited until we purchased items from them and then later on came and spoke in a n uncivilized manner. Java Lounge should seriously consider giving their staff a training on how to handle customers if they wish to keep up their businesses. I personally have introduced a lot of my friends to the place, hence I am utterly disappointed of what happened today. I do not wish to visit this...
