I recently visited Nom Nom Thai restaurant in Colombo 6 with my family for dinner, and the experience was nothing short of disappointing. Here's a detailed account of our visit:

Poor Service: Despite being the only customers at the time (7:30 PM), the service was excruciatingly slow. With only one steward on duty, it took an entire hour for our Tom Yum Seafood Soups to reach our table. Throughout the wait, our table lacked basic amenities like cutlery and tissues.

Incomplete Orders: When our Hot Butter Cuttlefish and Nam Prik Fired Rice - Chicken finally arrived after an additional 30 minutes, we were shocked to find only five pieces of cuttlefish in the entire portion. When I questioned the steward about this, he informed us that the manager and other staff members had recently resigned, leaving him as the sole worker. This lack of communication about the staffing situation is unacceptable.

Billing Issues: To add insult to injury, our order was incomplete as it did not include the three Coca-Cola bottles we had ordered. The steward closed the bill without providing the soft drinks, and when questioned, he casually suggested we pay at the cashier. The audacity of charging a service fee for such dismal service is beyond comprehension.

Payment Hassle: When I attempted to settle the bill with my debit card, the steward informed me that the card machine was not working. Instead of offering a solution, he directed me to use the nearby Commercial bank ATM to withdraw cash and pay. This inconvenience was the final straw in an already frustrating experience.

In conclusion, the overall service, communication, and professionalism at Nom Nom Thai restaurant were severely lacking.

I strongly advise against wasting your time and money at this establishment, as it is clear they have major issues that need urgent attention. Save yourself the trouble and choose a different dining option...

I recently visited Nom Nom Thai restaurant with a few of my university friends and I must say, it was an incredible experience from start to finish..! The flavors, freshness, and service all exceeded my expectations.

Being a foodie I have been to almost all the food joints in and around colombo. But I must say I had the WORST EVER EXPERIENCE in a restaurant here. Went there at around 7 pm and waited for nearly 40 minutes to get a waiter have our order. Had to literally walk to the cashier TWICE and ask the cashier guy to send us a waiter and get the order!

And then after giving the order, when inquired about the preparation lead time, we were told 20 mins and even after freaking 2 hours we didn’t get our food! And at around 9 pm the waiter came and informed that they don’t have something (the salad) which we ordered firstly! Which means they have checked our order and were starting to prepare the food AFTER 2 HOURS!

At around 9.15 pm we asked to cancel the order and left. At the time the cashiers attitude towards us was way below a third class attitude! We had already consumed a lime juice by then and He literally threw the debit cards towards us after swiping it! And didn’t even utter a word of apology!
