Lio Periosa — Restaurant in Galle

This was a great little spot for lunch in Galle! The owner was so lovely and it's pretty much a 1 man band, he takes the orders makes the drinks and the food. If you're vegetarian, he makes the most delicious Vegetable Kothtu....even though it's not advertised on the menu. He was making the vegetable gravy when we arrived and it was really good!! My friends had the chicken Kothtu and thoroughly enjoyed it. Good sized portions and very good prices

especially in Galle. The owner was humble and friendly. When in Galle, you could choose an Italian or a place serving European style food at steep prices...or you could stop in here for lunch, it's not glitzy, but it's real, comfortable if you sit by the fan and with excellent service and really good food. I also enjoyed a huge glass of freshly squeezed mango juice for 900...

This place just opened 3 months ago and the owner is the sweetest person I met in Srilanka. Totally one-man-band of the Restaurant. He was the waiter, chef, bartender too! He also suggest us to get only one Kottu since the portions are big for 2 people. I also realised I couldn’t pay with cards and I didn’t had any cash with me so he takes me with the scooter to the closest ATM. He has Kottu of all types, Milkshakes, Juices, Lassi. The menu is limited but is very passionated of what he does! Go there if you want to get the best Kottu...

Koththu, a street food of Sri Lanka, 1st time we tried Koththu and was not disappointed, the food fresh and the drinks refreshing!

we had the chicken koththu and seafood koththu, 2 pineapple lassi, 1 mango lassi, and were fully satisfied after.

Afhan the owner so friendly, we had a nice chat with him and learn more about Sri Lanka through our conversation. He's an amazing humble guy!
