I recently had the pleasure of visiting KiXi cafe in Galle Fort and it truly is a gem. This boutique cafe exudes charm from the moment you step in. The friendly staff adds to the warm ambiance, making you feel right at home. With two floors to choose from, you have options whether you want to enjoy the lively atmosphere downstairs or the more tranquil setting on the upper floor. The highlight for me was the incredible food and coffee they offer. Not only is the menu thoughtfully curated, but the flavors and presentation are also top-notch. What's even more impressive is their commitment to using natural ingredients. For instance, they refrain from adding unnecessary sugar to their fresh juices, a rarity these days. The prices at KiXi cafe are reasonable, specially considering the quality of the offerings. The cafe provides an escape from the chemical-laden options that are prevalent elsewhere. The evening ambiance at KiXi is particularly enchanting – the perfect setting for a leisurely coffee chat. Whether you're a local or a traveler, this cafe deserves a visit. Last week, I had the pleasure of visiting this place, a charming restaurant nestled within the historic Galle Fort. The location is undoubtedly one of the key highlights—its position amidst the ancient fort walls provides a unique and picturesque dining environment that instantly transports you to a different time. The vibe at Kixi was modern yet warm, with a subtle blend of the old-world charm that Galle Fort is known for, creating an ambiance perfect for a relaxed meal. We opted to try their Shakshuka and paired it with an iced latte. The Shakshuka was wonderfully prepared, with a rich, flavorful tomato base and perfectly poached eggs. The accompanying bread was fresh and complemented the dish well. The iced latte was smooth, not too strong, and provided a refreshing contrast to the warmth of the Shakshuka. In terms of pricing, the meal was reasonably priced for the quality and the setting. The average cost came to approximately Rs. 1,500 per person, which I found to be fair considering the overall experience. If you are in Galle Fort and looking for a place with great food, a cozy atmosphere, and a beautiful location, Kixi is definitely worth a visit.

I recently visited this cozy little cafe in the heart of galle city. From the moment i walked in pleasant aroma was everywhere. The decor was simple and charming. The menu offered a wide variety of delicious coffee and milkshakes options... I tried their specialty Rainbow pancake 🥞 along with nice oreo choco milkshake which thrilled my taste buds. 😋 In addition to the mouthwatering foods and drinks cafe had amazing galle fort view seating area very comfy. The overall ambalance was calm and relaxed, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing break from the bustling city outside. I would appreciate more warm welcome from the staff with nice smile. Which we need after long working hours. Visiting a cafe isnt all about having nice meals. It us about being welcomed after a hectic day. I think staff should more engage with pleasant smile with greetings. In conclusion i would like to recommend KiXi for anybody who visit galle.

It's a nice quirky place with remnants of colonial architecture from a bygone era. But that's where the charm ends and the issues arise. The food was mediocre. Pancakes were not soft and fluffy but dense tasteless and hard. Drenched in sweet sauces to salvage the dish which didn't help. Waffles had 3-4 measley slices of chicken sausages which was funny cz the name of the dish had chicken and sausages in it but neither were present in the dish. The waffle however, was tasty with an abundance of flavors. So that was a good dish (partially) The saving grace was however the shakshuka. It was packed with flavors, and was a warm and heartfelt meal. Wish there were a few more slices of bread to scoop it up 😁 All in all. Go for the pics but don't stay for the food. You'd be better off in a different place cz Galle fort has a lot to offer food-wise.
