Dinner 22 — Restaurant in Göteborgs Stad

I chose to dine at this restaurant based on its excellent reviews and was not disappointed. My order started with shrimp, lobster and vendace roe served on farmhouse bread with pickled onion. Followed by delicious main course, which was loin of venison served on the creamed cabbage with truffle accompanied by potato purée with cheese and bacon and lingonberry sauce. I have ordered 2oz of Glenfiddich scotch whisky on the side to finish my dining. While I wasn’t entirely sure about the two large meat cuts hanging at the entrance, everything else—from the moment I walked in to the moment I left—was flawless. The service was outstanding: friendly, polite, patient, and impressively efficient despite a busy evening. The food itself was exceptional. Every dish was well-seasoned, perfectly cooked, served warm, and beautifully presented. The venison was simply “heaven in the mouth”—soft, delicate, and tender. It was my first time trying venison, and I can now say I’m a big fan. If you haven’t dined here yet, you absolutely should. If it were possible to give this restaurant negative stars, I would. From the unacceptable wait time to the appalling service, this dining experience was deeply unsatisfactory on multiple levels. Avoid this place at all costs; it's simply not worth the aggravation.

I'm deeply disappointed with my dining experience at this restaurant. To start, the wait time for our main course was nearly an hour, which is unacceptable for any establishment, let alone one that claims to be professional.

What's even more disheartening is the behavior of the waitstaff. Instead of apologizing for the delay, the waiter came over and loudly berated us, blaming us for the long wait and stating it was our fault. This confrontational and loud behavior not only added insult to injury but also created an uncomfortable atmosphere for everyone present.

In my opinion, no level of food quality can make up for such abysmal service and disrespect towards customers. I strongly recommend avoiding this restaurant unless they take serious steps to train their staff and improve their service quality.

The food served at the time me and a group of nearly 40 persons came here to dine was truly fantastic. The only thing stopping me from giving a 5 star rating on the food itself was the combination of additional vegetables and decorative extras on the plate. taste wise it diddent add to the dish and visually it was a bit boring. the amount of potatoes was inadequate compared to the beef. The rating of the food was close to a 5 star but not quite.

The reason for the final 3 star rating is due to the staff. Friendly and aficiant, doing a great job. But when I noticed that the spoon they had given me was dirty. They tryed to convince me that it had a warn surface. and instead of apologise and bring me a clean one right away, they made it into a argument. Of course I got new spoon, but these things should be fixed quickly and without any friction.

As a result of this incident the overall experience ended on a 3 star rating. but with a higher potential.
