GG Bar — Restaurant in Göteborgs Stad

I'm a board gamer, so I love the concept. Nice looking place. However, as a out-of-town visitor on a Thursday night, looking to pick up a game and meet some people, it wasn't ideal. They don't do much to facilitate game play match ups or welcome guests. The woman behind the bar was nice, but the guy was fairly cold in response to the couple questions I asked. Made me feel like I should just drink, then GTFO. They have board games, show Twitch on a bunch of screens, and have a nice retro gaming decor, but that's about it. All around nice place. One of the few E-sports bars. Really good food! Definitely try their perfekt fries. Nice atmosphere but very crowded due to the small size and large clientele. You can borrow their board and card games for some fun with your buds.

Negative: Many times rather rude service from bartenders. Some are excellent and others not so much. Inability to break up or throw out aggressive or trouble making customers.

There's also a distinct lack of liquors and knowledge or will to blend drinks other than their own. But that's just their business model. See it as a negative if you value...

I'd say, the quiz there is nice. Sweet potato fries are 50kr and you get a LOT. The bacon chips is also nice. Meals are not too expensive there and you get to play board game sor card games for free as well. We played card against humanities, then we also did the quiz which is in Swedish, but if you have a swede with you there to help translate then you're good to go.
