La Strega — Restaurant in Göteborgs Stad

I went with one of my best friends. Our main course was pasta with king crab. Our dessert was pistachio ice cream.

The pasta is a bit thicker and longer than tagliatelle I was told. Our waiter was very friendly about answering all our questions about the food and traditional italian ice cream.

The food overall had a strong, long-lasting taste. It's up to you if you prefer a big chunk of the food and savouring it after. Or like me; cut it up into smaller pieces and try to combine it with apple cider or some of the bread. Definitely don't be afraid to mix and match the taste we all like different things.

Before we talk about the dessert I wanna say that the water was a perfect temperature of cold but no frost bite on your tongue.

So the pistachio icecream: you get smaller pieces, and because they are fresh some of them are a bit more green and richer in taste. I really enjoyed the ice cream and I do not regret finishing off our meal with this.

My first visit to a "high end restaurant" and I came with a open mind and high expectations. We was served good wine both me and my girl, the starter was amazing, the cold cuts was a bit bland, no real taste explosion. The main was pasta with white truffles, really good flavour but a bit to al dente for my taste. My girlfriend ate the frogleg risotto, good flavour but the rice could have gone for a few more minutes and the froglegs was more watery than tasty. But there was a few treats that lifted the whole visit. The starter was really amazing, to the cold cuts there was a balsamico union that was a truly great little treat, and the tomato also was full of flavour. So my grade is very personal due to my picky nature. But it is definitely worth a visit. A Timeless Gem - Even Better After a Decade! La Stregga is truly something special. I first dined here in 2013, and it quickly became one of my favorite spots in town. Visiting after ten years, I was amazed to find that not only had the quality remained high, but it had somehow gotten even better.

What really touched me was that Andrea actually remembered me after all this time. It was such a genuine, warm moment that reminded me of the heart and dedication Andrea and his team put into this place.
