Karlson's Garage & Bar — Restaurant in Göteborgs Stad

Since the last time I was here I have to take away one star from previous visits. The table service wasn't so good. They forgot my main course order and it seemed there was only server for the entire restaurant. They did of course apologize for this, but it wasn't super pleasant to have my food after every one else finished theirs.

The main course I got was the burger, it wasn't too nice either I must say. Very bland and unimaginable. The bread was soggy.

The things I was happy with still is the beers and the superb chevretoast.

Will probably be back...

We are deeply disappointed. In the past, we dined at Karlsons Garage and were thrilled with the food, really good Köttbullar. However, 1.5 months ago, we reserved a table for December 31st. At the time, we were told, “We look forward to welcoming you at 7:30 PM.”

Yet here we are, on New Year’s Eve, desperately searching for a restaurant because Karlsons is apparently closed—despite the fact that we got it confirmed multiple times. Frustrated and disappointed, we’re standing in the rain on New Year’s Eve...

Fast to be seated and service was great. I ordered the traditional "fläsk med raggmunk". Its a thicker bacon and is usually fried and cutable. Here it's bone dry. Theres absolutely no moisture left in the meat. It's as dry as crisps. My friends got the chicken wings snacks. They were happy and it looked like a good sizeable portion. Go for those instead. Equal amount of food, cheaper and tender.
