A fine dining restaurant with a distinct, yet discrete, Greek character. While I wouldn't consider the food as "typical Greek cuisine", it has some very interesting touches that subtly remind you of Greece and this makes the Panos Panos Tavern very special.

We tried the chicken and the lamb racks. Both tasted exceptionally nice and were something that we hadn't tasted before, neither in Sweden nor Greece. The haloumi salad was peculiar, in a pleasant way. Not that we'd want to eat more (as there were just two of us), however, I'd say it was rather overpriced for its size.

I considered giving it three stars but I'll go for four since the place just opened, due to the music played in the restaurant. It is simply not OK to play Greek pop-folk ("skiladika") music in a high-end establishment. Completely out of touch compared to the stylish interior design and menu. I can't imagine any Greek living in Sweden feeling nostalgic by listening to songs that'd be normally heard in a sketchy neighborhood cafeteria or a greasy fast food joint during the overnight shift.

I understand Swedish customers would like to get an "ethnic touch" while dining. However, while I'm not an expert, I'm sure there are better songs that are more appropriate for the overall ambience and more representative of the Greek culture than what I was listening to tonight.

I wish all the best to the restaurant and hope it gets all the success it...

Panos Panos Tavern is a really beautiful Greek restaurant located in a residential neighborhood. The ambience is very nice and cozy. They also have a private room if you're a group of 8 people. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. They recommended the Panos Drink as a pre dinner cocktail and it was quite fresh even though the taste of fennel was a bit overpowering for my liking. Their starters were delicious, especially the Panos Pita which is long baked leg of lamb in a homemade pita bread. The bread was super fresh and soft.

The main course however took quite a while to be served but the restaurant was packed, so we hoped the food wouldn't disappoint. Their Moussaka and Bifteki were delicious and filling. The others who got the Kotopoulo loved it and highlighted the chicken was marinated really well. Overall a really nice experience with the food and service. Would definitely recommend this restaurant if you're looking for some...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Panos Panos and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. The Greek cuisine was absolutely delicious, with each dish bursting with authentic flavors and fresh ingredients. The dishes were perfectly prepared and well-balanced, offering a true taste of Greece.

But what truly set this restaurant apart was the exceptional service. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic dining experience.

I highly recommend Panos Panos restaurant to anyone looking for a taste of Greece right here in Gothenburg. The food, the service, the ambiance - everything was top-notch. I can't wait to come back and indulge in more of their...

This place is an authentic Greek yet modern restaurant! Being Greek I can safely say that the food is even better than Greece. This is definitely because of the passion of the owner, Panos, focused in every detail of it. We chose kolokithokeftedes, tirokafteri, saganaki, pita bread and fries. Everything was delicious! For main courses we selected scampi and souvlaki (cooked in a sauce for more than 24 hours). Both were excellent! As a desert we couldn’t miss loukoumades. Even the ice cream in the side was delicious. The highlight was the Panos beer (made by the owner himself), definitely a must! P.S. Panos is an amazing person who is open to share his story (which can also be read from his book). Thank you Panos and looking forward to seeing you again!
