Me and my boyfriend visited the restaurant the 26th of september. We emailed in advance to ensure that we would be given vegetarian options which according to them was no problem.
Once we got to the restaurant we talked to three different waitresses before getting our food. None of the waitresses knew that we had emailed in advance about vegetarian options which meant that for each new waitress we had to explain that all over again. It took them more than one hour to serve our food, despite us emailing in advance what we wanted...Once we got the food we were flooded with dishes. Three-four of them right after eachother.
The music was also so loud that we could barely speak to each other.
In addition we were only booked for 2.5 hours which we thought would be more than enough but since it took them more than one hour to serve our first dish we found ourselves rushing through the food. The guests that had reserved our table after us were waiting behind us.
I emailed all this feedback to Toso to give them a chance to correct their rather unprofessional treatment. They responded saying someone would contact me which has not yet happened (2 months later..)
I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone, we left the restaurant feeling like we payed almost 2000 kronor for food that was not very good and service that was terrible. Also their way of handling feedback has been really...
Read moreToso is an outright horrible experience. While the food ranges from outright unacceptable (dumplings) to quite alright (padrónes), it’s the unprofessional service that really outshines everything. Starting from a table situated right at the entrance with no protection against the cold wind from the constant opening of the door (that the staff needs to move though all the time!), up to a complete ignorance of allergene information (bringing food WITH allergenes, multiple times) and just outright ignoring of the customers.
Many different waiters buzz around the tables, but no one pays attention to the customers. No one asks for refills, no one asks if everything is alright.
The signature set menu cannot be adapted to vegan/vegetarian only, you have to make your own way through the menu. The staff clearly doesn't want to help. And then most of the dishes are just full of (vegan) mayonnaise anyways.
Food is served when ready, customers are basically thrown out when they are done, cause the next ones are waiting in line. Literally, a table next to us got told to leave shortly after paying, they finished their seating allowment.
You are treated like cattle here. Don’t get too comfortable, eat up and go away. This is a business.
Hospitality is clearly not the industry this restaurant is working in. Highly unprofessional and should be avoided if you have some sort of...
Read moreMaybe we had bad luck, but our experience at their lunch was not great. We had their weekend lunch, which consists of al'carte that you order and a cold foods and dessert buffet.
Lets Start with the good, the desserts and the cold buffet. There were some beegtartar some sushi and other small cold dishes all excellent. Very flavour full. Same can be said about the desert, small tasty and even refreshing.
Now the bad, we tried 4 items on the al'carte menue, the first the chicken karage, was almost soggy and very chewy no crispiness what so ever. Now the second dish was done fried fish balls they where very dry, uncomfortablely so. The third was a kimchi pork, it wasn't bad, I would give it a passing grade 3,5/5 and finally the beef carpaccio style dish was great 5/5.
Now the taste and quality was only half the problem the worst was the service, the servers were really nice, but the al'carte dishes except the first took forever to get to us, i mean a good 40 min wait. I had two ask them twice where our food were. Then they came out with the wrong dishes twice.
Something must be wrong with their system because the servers where running around...
