It's been a while, but I have been out about and now I went to a restaurant called Cicero.
So to be fully honest I have to say that the place looks nice! The decor, lights and atmosphere is great! Very cozy, very romantic!
The food 🍝 was pretty good too! The price is pretty good, around 170:- sek for each pasta dish, the servings are huge which is nice and you feel really full and satisfied afterwards.
The service was quite quick we very only 3 groups inside the restaurant, it was a slow Wednesday from what I noticed and on that I have a side note.. The waitress had a way, I thought she was friendly mostly, however she called me nicknames which I thought was a bit weird though.
We also had a small incident within the restaurant with the owner.. He most likely feels it's my fault and it is what it is.
What my point is, when it's a service business you tend to give the best service/experience possible for the customer. From that information the restaurant should make it the best outcome possible for me as a guest in my opinion.
The issue itself was solved not the smoothest way after a discussion where I think the owner should've just handled it better overall.
At the end my girlfriend who has worked in a bank told the owner a tip for the future but instead of taking it, letting it go, the owner responded with a snarky comment "Let me give you a tip back!"
I have never heard of this from a restaurant owner before.. Where you've easily could've fixed the problem saved our experience instead it got to be plagued by the situation and also the owners comment..

Read moreThis is simply the worst restaurant I have ever been to in my whole life. The elegant photos and incredivly high rating don’t have anything to do with the reality.
When we arrived, we first thought this is the wrong place, because it was very basic, dark, with a lot of smell from the kitchen. No elegancy at all that you can assume from the photos.
The service was so slow we were thinking to go away. When we finished our starters, the waitress said “ok now we will start to prepare your main dishes”. Really? Given that I ordered a risotto and that they were slow from the beginning, we had well other 40 min of waiting time.
But the worst thing unfortunately was the food. I think that the chef woouldn’t last an hour in restaurant in Italy, and I am not even exagerating. To give you an idea, the pizza was made with a strange sour sauce of a kind of “barilla” tomato sauce for pasta, not for pizza, with the WHOLE olives put on the pizza. And risotto with mushrooms was so saulty it was impossible to eat, and made of “everything remaing in the refrigerator when you leave on vacation”. So many things put inside, and on top of that…wait for it… salami!!!! Are you kidding me??? Salami on risotto???
No one from our family of 4 (including 2 kids that eat everything) could eat more than a quarter of their dishes. Considering I carefully chose this place for my birthday dinner, it totally ruined my evening. I write this review after the week has passed and I am still mad about this...
Read moreVi fick ett udda bemötande. De hade en ny servitris och vi som var lite tidigare bad om att få ta en fördrink i baren i väntan på bordet. Hon erbjöd Cava och vi sa att vi gärna kollar drinklistan varpå hon säger "va?! Nej varför ska ni göra det?". Sen får vi bordet och får in våra fördrinkar. Sedan direkt efter vill de ta beställning så vi beställer och även dricka som vi vill ha till maten. Vi frågar servitrisen om tryffelpastan är god varpå hon svarar att det inte smakar så mycket men att den är god. Vi beställer ändock tryffelpastan och brachiolapastan samt burratasalladen. Väldigt stressat kommer de med vinet som vi ska ha till maten innan vi knappt hunnit börja dricka fördrinkarna. Och 5 minuter senare kommer maten. Man kanske hade vi velat få chansen att dricka upp fördrinken först. De ställer ner maten och säger tryffelpasta och vi svarar vem som ska ha den och brachiolan till den som ska ha den. Vi vet inte vilken som är vilken och äter. Vi pratar och tänker inte så mycket på det och pratar och har trevligt. När vi har kommit långt in i maten så konstaterar vi att något inte stämmer. Servitören blandade ihop och serverade fel pasta till fel person. Jag tål inte för mycket olja, vitlök och ingredienser som var i tryffelpastan. Då jag inte visste hur det skulle smaka så förstod vi inte att det var fel och min magen vändes totalt uppochner. Vi inser då även att pasta skulle haft pasta i sig men det saknades. Sedan sitter vi i 45min-1 timme utan att någon kommer och frågar hur det smakar, tar tallrikar, om vi vill ha dessert etc. När vi påpekar upplevelsen så skulle de på oss att vi redan ätit så mycket och att om vi sagt till tidigare skulle vi kunnat rätta till.
