Sushi Mamaya — Restaurant in Göteborgs Stad

Unfortunately had a bad experience here with my family.

We stood in line to order dinner and eat at the restaurant. Some other people pushed in front of us with the excuse that they were just going to pick up a takeaway that they called ahead of time to get. The people working at the restaurant had not prepared the other people's order for takeaway and it was something crazy like 80 pieces of sushi for a party. We just stood there waiting for 15 minutes while we were ignored by the staff. Finally we told a person from the staff that these people had pushed ahead of us in line and that we are leaving. They did not even answer.

This restaurant turned out to be my recommended sushi place in Gothenburg. To be honest, I was afraid to try sushi in Scandinavia because I didn’t feel “Japanese vibes” from most of the places I’d seen in Scandinavia. This amazing hole-in-the-wall with a simple menu with limited selections serves the most amazing sushi. It melts in your mouth, is super fresh, rice just perfect and the tempura crisp. Try the spicy tuna, the tempura roll or the salmon sashimi. Some of the best sushi I have had!!!
