Disappointing Experience with Poor Service
Upon our arrival, we were a party of four meeting another group of six. We inquired if we could be seated together, and the restaurant accommodated our request. However, when we were ready to order, we were abruptly informed that parties of ten must choose from the pre-fixed tasting menu.
Most of us were interested in other menu items, so we asked if we could revert to our original groups and order separately. We were told no—since we had already decided to sit as a party of ten, that option was no longer available. The entire group was taken aback, but our server insisted that this was part of the restaurant's “concept” and encouraged us to try it. It was puzzling since we hadn’t originally booked as a party of ten, and no special preparations had been made in advance.
Dietary Restrictions
When asked about dietary restrictions, one of our party had some, which were accommodated. However, when another guest, who did not have a restriction, requested a swap for the same dish, the response was shockingly dismissive: "No, you don’t have anything wrong with your body"—a direct and insensitive translation of what was said. (For those who speak Swedish: "Nej du har ju inget fel i kroppen")
Food Quality vs. Value
The pre-fixed tasting menu featured items I wouldn’t normally order, and while the food wasn’t terrible, it was far from impressive. For the price, this was one of the most underwhelming dining experiences I’ve had in quite some time.
On the Pizzas...
We sampled five of the seven pizzas on offer, and while the crust had a nice crispness, the burnt edges detracted from the experience. The Burrata and Tomato pizza, in particular, was a letdown. The tomato was bland, just crushed with no real seasoning that could be tasted, save for the topped salt flakes.
In Summary
This restaurant is devoted to its concept, but it comes at the expense of customer satisfaction. The menu is interesting, and the location and ambiance are nice, but the food is mediocre, and the service is appalling.
If you’re looking for quality pizza or good service, I would recommend...
Read moreAs far I as I remember from years ago the food is decent in this place. However, customer service couldn’t possibly get worse. I made a booking for 2 for lunch 2 weeks ago. So that we could get a proper table. We arrived yesterday 5 min before the booked time. They put us in a weird window seat area, although we were 2 people we barely had space to put our legs or move. And people who came later than us a got a proper table for 2. We didn’t make a fuss about it. Things happen, right no need to be alarmed. Sat down. But since we were right in front of the window (windowsill was basically our “table”) the sun was on our face. It was impossible to have a conversation let alone eat there. It wasn’t a mild sun, it was literally in front of us making us blind and since we had such a tiny place to sit we couldn’t even more our chairs or improve the situation in any other way. I politely asked the staff if they could do anything about it, the answer we got was “this is how the weather works”. We decided to leave and go somewhere else and the same guy mentioned “we have a no show fee”. We said what no show? We did show up but it’s impossible to sit here, you could see how insufferable it is. Then he asked us to move to the bar and we said we made a booking 2 weeks ago so we would have a proper table, we’re not sitting at the bar and we’re not sitting here on this inconvenient table either. And we’re not paying for no show either because we did show up. Then we left and went to another place. We explained the situation and even without booking they placed us in a nice table. Much better customer service and delicious food.
I advise you to teach your employees to care about the customers more. Because in all honesty I haven’t been to a place where i felt like I was...
Read moreCame for the pizza, stayed for the cauliflower.
We had the suggested 9 course meal. The meal was served in 4 servings:
Olives, Pork rind with truffle mayo and cheese Cecina de León
Boquerones with Levain Burrata with sundried tomatoes Roasted cauliflower (drenched in butter)
Atlantic halibut tartare Beef tartare
Pizza (we had the pancetta)
Most of the things we had were delicious! The cecina and the cauliflower were amazing. The halibut was also really good.
The things we did not like as much were:
The pork rind was decent, but after two or three bites (all in all we shared ~10-12 between two persons) it was not very appetizing any more.
The boquerones is an acquired taste, for sure, but if you like it you like it. The descaling of the fish was subpar though.
The pizza was mediocre. Way too salty, and I did not find the citrus...
