Språkcaféet — Restaurant in Göteborgs Stad

Not customer oriented! Poor hygiene! We went to this cafe for lunch with my husband and 2 kids. It was Friday and on the menu stand the lunch menu was advertised which included salad and coffee. We did t get any coffee with our lunch, and were told that this offer usually applies but not this Friday. The cashier even went to the boss to ask if he should include coffee or not, and the boss said of course not, this is a holiday Friday, not a regular Friday. We survived without coffee included to our lunch, but we just don’t wanna go back to this cafe anymore, just coz they made so much fuss about a cup of coffee. They would definitely win more customers if they approach this situation differently. It’s a very small thing but it reflects loyalty and care. Another thing that we found inappropriate in COVID-19 situation was that the staff wearing gloves was ok to pick their nose in those same gloves they served the food. Below average café, expensive and rude staff. Many other good places in the area, so you’d do well to choose something else. Our food was lacking ingredients that was listed on the menu, pointing this out wasn’t really popular. To be fair, the manager tried his best to make it better, giving us a coffee for free, but the good vibe was quickly crushed by the girl in the register that has the worst attitude. She wouldn’t acknowledge that I was talking to her, and when I got the attention of her colleague she actively encourages her NOT to help me like her boss said ?!? I’ve never met more rude, “i dont wanna be here” kinda staff. I went to order chai tea with oatmilk and they gave me a box of milk and warm water so i can make it my own?? Wish i would have known that before, because why did i pay 54kr to make it myself…? Alright i did it no worries, but while i was waiting to order they were just staring at me without saying “hi”. I dont know it just gave me a weird vibe, its my first time coming here and the experience with the staff...
