We recently had afternoon tea at the restaurant located inside the hotel, and unfortunately, the experience left a lot to be desired. From the moment we walked in, there was an unmistakable air of indifference from the staff. We weren’t greeted with any warmth or acknowledgment, and it felt like we were an inconvenience rather than welcomed guests. The staff’s attitude throughout our meal could best be described as nonchalant. Questions about the menu were met with vague or dismissive answers, and any requests we made—whether for water refills or simple accommodations—seemed to be brushed off or forgotten entirely. It was as if we weren’t being taken seriously, which made for a frustrating and uncomfortable dining experience. Adding to the discomfort was the overall atmosphere of the restaurant. It felt tense and uninviting, almost as if the staff was under pressure or simply uninterested in providing a pleasant environment. There was little communication between servers and guests, and more than once we caught eye rolls or disengaged expressions from those working the floor. It created a sense that we weren’t truly welcome, which overshadowed any enjoyment we might have had from the food. While the restaurant itself is nicely designed and conveniently located, the service and atmosphere were major letdowns. Hospitality should never make guests feel like a burden. Sadly, that’s exactly how we felt...

We’ve been here for dinner a couple of years ago and the atmosphere and view is still the most romantic in Gothenburg. The food is good, my fish was amazing and my boyfriend’s veal was ok, but needed a proper meat knife. We actually asked for another knife but the second one was just as blunt as the first one... Still, it’s not “the best” food experience according to my very particular taste, but well worth the time and money. I’d come again, for the overall experience no doubt! We had the tartar starter that was good but over ambitious so some of the flavors are lost, to much going on, and the soup which was nice. Enjoyed everything. I have to give a comment about the service, best waitress in forever! Corona has certainly had an impact on what you expect but the service at View from the waitress was better than most places. 10 out of five stars for service without a doubt! Attentive, fast and friendly. Feels as friendly as your local pub but service at Michelin level. Amazing and I don’t know...

A perfect meal in a stunning venue.

My wife booked here for our anniversary during a short trip to Gothenburg. I love eating out so she spent quite a while deciding which restaurant to take us to and this was the one she chose.

It is on the 12th floor with stunning views over the harbour and city. My photos do not do it justice.

There is a bar and lounge area, and the eating area.

The seats are unusually comfortable which was a real bonus.

We had a set 3 course meal which you can see in the photos and each course was PERFECT.

I have now left thousands of reviews and have just hit 11 million views, I don't say perfect very often, and yes the food and the venue itself was as close to perfection as is possible in my humble opinion.

We were served by a young lady with blonde hair in a plait, and she was both personable and superbly knowledgeable about the food and drink.

Cannot recommend this venue enough.
