Racist and unkind, aviod!!

I went in and asked for a table, i got a lecture about no tables on fri sat night without booking, despite there being many free, and that i could order takeaway. While waiting for the takeaway i sat at a table at the back.. yet no tables..

No translation of the menu to English, which is fine, (i know many English speakers who are ignorant to this), but when i asked if there was an English menu i was flippantly told "Google translate", no other words.

i spent ages translating, i picked and then asked 'med ris?' (with rice in Swedish). She said no, pointed to the menu rudely and said 16, 18, 19. I translated the fried rice dishes then queried an option, she replied in perfect English.

I ordered, she said 30mins. I said i needed to go buy wine, i showed her on the map and said if I'm late can you please keep it warm, she said no, rudely (and being local she would have known a wasted trip as closed by then, (it was 1930, closes at 1900), she said nothing). I ran to the off-licence and back, then waited at said table above.

Lastly, when getting the order, she then gave me rice on top of the fried rice i paid extra for. I queried that i'd already asked if it came with rich and had now bought an extra meal. She shurgged and said that's not what she heard. I left feeling like she'd been rude for no reason.

Was all in all a horrible experience for someone travelling alone for work and just wanting food after a long day. The fried beef dish i ordered was mostly noodles too. Just a pitiful place and people in my opinion, moved me to write a food review, and i never usually do!

Amazing authentic Chinese food. The staff is friendly and the service is quick. They recommend dishes quite well based on your preferred spice level too. Would definitely recommend.

Edit: We were there tonight (15/03) for dinner and the waitress was quite unpleasant. When we asked for a recommendation, she literally said that we need to decide on our own and that she doesn't want to help in decision making. The food was quite bland and lacking flavor. The Sichuan beef was served in a completely different way and didn't have any familiarity to the previous occasion when we had a very good experience. If you are looking for a good Chinese restaurant for a hearty meal in Gothenburg city center that offers great variety of choices at reasonable price, I would recommend giving this one a try. I am a regular myself and this is my go to place whenever I crave a bit of Chinese. They do have a separate menu in Chinese that offers slight different choices catering particularly for the Chinese palate, which isn’t always average westerners cup of tea, but it is always worth trying if you are curious.
