Gattostretto — Restaurant in Lund Municipality

The food was extremely delicious. I'm very picky as well. However, I would have easily payed a higher price for more food on my plate. It would have been nice if the waiters recommended that we buy starters. We usually don't do that because the main dish is always enough to get us full, but if I would have known I would definitely have ordered a starter.

We went during the weekend so the place was full of people, which is ok, but the restaurant is a bit small and makes it difficult to move around in there when so many people are there's. That's the only reason I'm giving 4 out 5 stars.

The people working there are amazing. The chefs even waved us goodbye as we left. Really...

We ate lunch there on a weekend. It was simply the best chicken sallad I have ever eaten! Very fresh and beautifully balanced flavours between the vegetables, chicken, cheese and pesto! I thought that the balsam vinegar used in the sallad was so good that I bought their oil (with chili) and vinegar on the way out. The portion was a bit small but the garlic bread made up for it. The cappuccino was 100% but the dessert was the thing that made me put a 4/5 instead of 5/5. Why no tiramisu or gelato? Just a sugary little pastry with little flavour- a real disappointment. If you're in Lund, don't miss Gattostretto. A small, genuine and authentic Italian restaurant, but in Sweden. I took their "Pasta of the day" and it was absolutely amazing, really creamy tomato-sauce with cheese, bacon and penne. Super simple and super delicious, along with some salad as a starter. Unlike most restaurants, this one is fair in it's prices and really affordable. After the food, why not enjoy a nice cannoli and espresso?

I can't stress this enough, but if you really have a home in your heart for Italian food, then Gattostretto is the place for you. Good food, good atmosphere and good...
