The place is hit or miss. We've had a few pleasurable experiences a few times, and one absolutely terrible. We dropped in around 11am for coffee and cakes and, since it was pretty empty, we were offered a table of our own choosing. Then suddenly, 10 minutes later, a grumpy waitress came by and told us we have to take another seat right away at a smaller table! This was despite the fact we were offered to sit wherever we wanted and that we were already being served! I told her we're leaving soon anyway, so she had to swallow it, but then found another ingenious way to put a stain on their reputation - brought a POS terminal and demanded we pay right away, making us feel unwelcome and showing with all their appearance they want us gone (lunch time coming I guess, they want more moneeeyyyy). What's even worse is that all this was instigated by the owner (or a manager) - a cunning lady who, passing by, saw us at a table and went to a waitress commanding her to make us change a seat. What a horrible way to treat their customers! Never showing my wallet here again. That said, there are very nice people working at this place too. But the fish rots...
Read moreRecently, my husband and I decided to visit this place, which, to our surprise, was completely empty at the time (11 am, Tue). We placed our orders for coffee and desserts and chose a vacant table. Shortly after receiving our food, the waiter returned (merely 5 minutes later) and asked us to move to a smaller table with our food. The reason given was to potentially accommodate other customers, should they arrive, despite the many available tables. This was quite inconvenient, and moving with our food was not a comfortable experience.
We expressed that we wouldn't stay long, yet were almost immediately presented with our bill. I find such behavior unacceptable. The staff could have requested we choose a different table before serving our food, rather than making us relocate afterwards. I believe the management should reflect upon their customer service approach and consider training their staff appropriately to ensure better service...
Read moreWorst service experience I've had in my life. The staff were incredibly unprofessional and rude. Went with a group of colleagues. When we went to pay, I noticed an error in the amount I had paid and pointed it out to the server. He said I should work it out with my friends through Swish afterwards, rather than trying to charge me the correct amount in the first place. Then the server claimed there was one unpaid wine (another error on their part) and I somehow got charged two additional wines on top of the two that I ordered. When I came back to try to fix the matter, I was met with another rude and unprofessional server who spent 20 minutes trying to convince me that I had been charged correctly, when it was in fact incorrect. I couldn't believe how awful the staff were to me and I will never return to...
