Decent food a bit overpriced (buffet on a weekday is 99 sek without a drink). I eat here a few times a year since there are not many (if any?) Indian buffet alternatives in lund.
In the last 8 years of eating at the buffet, I don't think they have changed the buffet menu once...
The food is a bit spicier than your typical indian restaurant and the dishes are not typically yhogurt based (are the yhogurt dishes kashmiri?). The times I have eaten there, there was no chicken Tikka or tandoori or butter chicken. They have never offered mallook paneer (I probably spelled that dish wrong--i am referring to the vegetarian+cheese dish often served in spinach or with a creamy red yhogurt carrots/pea sauce. Also, no Nan bread or dessert with the buffet.
They usually have rice, one fish/chicken/and beef based dish. They also have one or two vege alternatives. Not sure what they are called since the only info they provide when filling up the plate is what meats are used. They also offer a bare bones salad bar.
You'll probably enjoy the food. But it is not typical indian food I am used to and a bit pricey given alternatives in lund such as the the Thai buffets, Rose...
Read moreDO NOT ORDER THE BUFFET. Not good, actually quite sad. This place offers a huge potential on the outside being one of the few Indian restaurants in lund. Sadly the food quality is on a lower scale than Burger King just up the street. The tables feel extremely cheap and most importantly dirty. Me and my partner were starving and decided to go for the buffet. Which we realized was a huge mistake when we started eating. The curry was oily and the chicken was dry. The food in the buffet tasted like it had stood there for days. The "salad" buffet was so old the lettuce in a burger from Mcdonalds is fresher. The naan bread was surprisingly the best part. And the staff was friendly enough. DO NOT ORDER THE BUFFET. Bad go to Rosegarden if you want a good buffet. And go to Maeyai Thai which is right beside it if you want asian or...
Read moreI ordered "paneer butter masala curry", "garlic naan" and "mango lassi".
The curry was with horrible gravy(not property cooked). Moreover, they put saladsost in place of paneer in the curry and tried to justify. After that they took away the dish in place of "malai kofta curry". Malai kofta was full of oil, which might have happened because they re-use the old gravy(which made curry darker).
Apart, the garlic naan bad as well. It was uncooked from inside and seemed cooked from outside (too high temperature).
The lassi was good. It was in good quantity.
The food comes with basic basmati rice and salad. There were flies enjoying the salad already.
Washroom was with bad order.
Message to the owner: why don't you rename the restaurant to something else. Why should people remember New Delhi...
