I was cautious, not to say pessimistic, about trying Brunchoteket. Swedish brunch usually consists of a buffet filled with premade scrambled eggs, stale pancakes and bacon swimming in grease.

However, Brunchoteket was a pleasant surprise. To begin with, this is à la carte and the menu has some great options. We decided to get the chicken & waffle and the chicken sarnie. The food was great and oh so tasty. There was no need for extra salt or other condiments. The flavors were spot on and the chicken was crunchy. Even in the sandwich, the chicken did not become soggy. If I have to say something negative, the sausage (chorizo?) that I ordered as an add-on was not worth it. It was a very plain, supermarket style sausage. Definitely not on par with the rest of the food. It shouldn't be too hard to make or source a high-quality chorizo locally.

The location was nice and clean, despite the busy atmosphere. There are no reservations so please prepare to wait in line before getting a table. The service was quick and attentive, lacking some organization maybe. I ordered a regular coffee with free refills but it wasn't super easy to actually get someone's attention to get the coffee refilled. On the other hand, when we asked to get the toppings for the chicken & waffle on the side, they took care of it with no issues.

In the grand scheme of things, the experience as a whole was great. We're definitely coming back to try the rest...

Overall, slow service, pricey food, loud environment, mostly good food.

We went here on a Saturday around 9AM when they open. We were 3 people and they place was already mostly full when we arrived. So we had to do with adding a chair to a 2 pp table which made eating a bit cramped. It took 30 minutes to receive our drinks which is the longest I have waited for a filter coffee (which was 45kr btw). They seem to be short staffed during the busy morning hours with only two waitresses having to do everything. Only later there were 3 waitresses and the food and drinks started to move. It took us almost an hour until we saw our food which is way too long. The food was the highlight.

The full brekkie plate was very good. I liked everything on it. Airy pancakes, crispy bacon, fluffy scrambled eggs. The Benedict could do with a bit more sauce, and the sause wasn't my favorite. Downside is the price. Almost 200kr for a breakfast plate seems overkill for a breakfast plate. Very "Instagramy plated" food however if that's your thing.

Location is very convenient being very central. It was very noicy environment to sit and enjoy a breakfast in the morning. The noises bounce on the walls and floor making it very noicy. Especially with a lot of parents with their kids and larger groups.

I had brunch around 11 a.m. on a Saturday at Brunchotek in the city center. I am not sure if there are other locations, but this review is about that one. The waiting time was pleasant and not too long, and I was seated quite quickly. The place was a bit overbooked, so people were sitting very close to one another, but that is expected on a Saturday brunch.

The young staff running the place were lovely. They are very sweet and polite, and it was refreshing to see how responsible and sharp they were, especially the girl managing the seating. They really deserve credit for their service and attitude.

However, the food was not what I expected. I am from Copenhagen, and I guess I am used to slightly smaller portions, more elegant plating, and lighter dishes. This one felt very heavy, almost like a punch to the liver. The plate was small but overloaded: two pieces of bacon, scrambled eggs, three thick American-style pancakes with syrup, and something else I could not quite identify. The presentation did not look good, as if everything had just been placed together without much thought.

Maybe that is just their style, but I personally did not find it appealing. I might return to try another dish, but overall, I was a bit disappointed with the food. Still, the experience was nice thanks to the friendly staff and...

Excuse me, First of all! How are you this good!?!?? First time visited and will be signing up for a memberships! It was busy but the wait was not that long. My son and I ordered 2 Full Brekkie because we could not decide on what we wanted and it was worth every single calories we consumed. Let me break it down. My order came with Tomatoes Chilly Jam. Bacon was perfectly cooked they were charred enough to get the nice crunch, Pancakes were like soft fluffy clouds with Canadian maple syrup, scrambled eggs were melting in my mouth. What was the deal with the hash browns? It was perfectly golden crunch on the outside, moist in the inside and perfectly paired with Tomatoes Chilly Jam! I have had my fair shares of Matcha lattes but it was always too sweet, this one, Matcha latte was perfection. My son had the Blueberry Lemonade and he said it was refreshing! Oh, while we were waiting in queue, a very nice woman kept checking on us, gave statuses we were only in queue for approximately 20 minutes. I’d give this place 10 stars if I could. Sooooo freaking good! You can see the before and after pic and I cannot wait to go back.
