Indian Garden Mall Of Scandinavia — Restaurant in Solna kommun

Hi, I had a bad experience at the restaurant. I think they try to over-charge people without telling them. I do not want to use the word 'cheat' for them but this action does not seen far from this word

I, together with my colleague ate dinner at their restaurant at the Mall of Scandinavia Solna, Stockholm. The real sum for two person was 696 Swedish kronor but they charges me 969 Swedish Kronor, I did not notice that time. Next day, when I checked the invoice and it was to high price. Then I found 273 was charged as an 'extra'. I talked with the guy at the restaurant and he did not seem to help me. Instead he sent a picture of the receipt to the owner/manager for further investigation, and he promised that the money would appear in my account within five working days.

Now it is more than two weeks and no one has transferred me money. I tried to call them many times and they did not even receive my call.

I shared my experience among rest of colleagues at our Solna (Stockholm) office, and no one mentioned any good words for this restaurant, instead they asked me that who had recommended you to go this restaurant.

I will attach my receipt in this comment so that, you can see their trick to over charge people.

Note: I did not pay any tip because it was my official trip and would never pay tip because we report the expenses back to our office. The guy I complained, he refused first helping me saying that I had paid the tip, but after arguments he sent my receipt picture to another boss.

My advise to the customers to always double check the receipt at their restaurant.

Visited on a weekend lunch. Compared to the other restaurants and foodcourt, there were fewer patrons.

The food is good though and has improved since our last visit. However, the dishes are expensive, averaging above 200SEK per main dish. With appetisers and drinks, the bill gets big.

If you don't mind paying more to enjoy the quality and escape the crowd, this restaurant is a decent option to dine in.

Dishes we tried :

🔸️ Lamb Korachi Balti ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The lamb pieces are tender and is cooked in a flavourful, slightly hot tomato sauce with onions, peppers, ginger, coriander and lime pickles.

The dish really warm up the body and fills a hungry stomach. It is appetising with basmati rice and the serving size is generous.

🔸️ Hyderabadi Dum Biriyani with lamb ⭐⭐⭐

A generous plate of flavored rice with lamb cubes, topped with 1 piece of grilled lamb rack. Comes with sides of curry and yogurt sauces.

Nice aromas and pretty soft lamb but the dish is on the dry side, gets cold quickly and needs lots of sauce to help it along.

🔸️Papadums ⭐⭐⭐

3 big pieces. Tasty, freshly fried, not oily.

We waited 10 - 15 minutes for our food. The waiter was friendly and...

Do not deserve even one star. Poor restaurant, please dont visit here. I visited this store just now. (31-Dec-2023) Ordered mixed tali meal. It costs 289/- SEK. Damn expensive but very poor in quality of food and quality of service especially the man at the cash counter. The man at cash counter was very rude. He's behaving like you are asking for a free meal!. After few minutes food came. Below were there in mixed tali:

1. rice - not good
2. naan - its ok
3. grilled lamb two pcs: its very dry and hard. And no taste as well, struggled to eat it.. Damn never ever..!
4. grilled chicken twi pcs: its ok
5. just one piece of prawn (i expect at least two piece): quality of that one piece of prawn is just OK.
6. one gravy was served, which is very poor hectic taste.
7. one raita kind of thing was there, hardly twi spoon, but which is good.

Veg salad.. Corn, chickpeas, cucumbers onion, lettuce with one spoon of curd. Salad was also not good. 9) over all. From out side it looks a good place to try. But nevet again.. Very expensive as well... And poor food in quality, poor rude service...
