4.5-star in my view because the food has room for improvements. In general this is a perfect venue with outstanding service and above average Asian fusion food quality. The texture of the cocktail was thick and smooth due to the use of brown butter, a good mixture of whisky and bitters, but the miso part was hard to taste. The beef tartar was hand chopped instead of minced which is to my preference. The beef cut contained a bit too much tendon in it thus it was not soft enough, but the overall flavors with the nashi and pickled daikon was really good. The tuna ceviche was amazingly paired with yuzu sorbet, two mild flavors combined and gave a refreshing aroma. The rice cake cooked in a western way with mushrooms and truffle was very tasty, it combined rice sticky, savory creamy and grilled kale crispy to a delicious balance. The mussels’ umami mixed well with the chili and coconut sauce, it was really good that we wished to have more bread for dipping into the sauce. The fried pork Tonkatsu was ok, crispy and juicy but the odor of the pork was not totally removed. The udon was definitely a comfort food, the freshness of the veggies and the buttery sauce harmonized together with the fermented pickles and silky udon noodles. The miso ice cream was delightfully paired with candied cherries, and the fresh fruits matched well...

The view and summertime rooftop-vibes are spectacular! However, the service was not very professional or experienced, and the clientele is very homogeneous. The food was tasty. For the prices and the small servings however, we would have expected a lot warmer reception of guests. To be frank, we felt unwelcome, and could not tell if it were because we were non-white. We were told repeatedly that there were no seats for us to eat and were told to order and wait downstairs, but once we decided to double check nonetheless, we found there definitely were seats for eating. Next, we got a few menus, but not for everyone in our company; no one asked us if we wanted to drink anything while we viewed the menu; they brought our orders out wrong; some things took a very long time to be served with; we felt rushed to change tables to go sit out in the rain, while we did not feel the staff rushed to provide us with good service. The background...

All was fantastic. Although our lovely waitress was very helpful and attentive she realised she started opening the wine we ordered before confirming with us if the choice or the wine presented was as the one order. Turned out we ordered a specific wine on the wine list because of its vintage in this case 2016 GG riesling (for which the table was excited to taste) and turned out she was busy opening a 2020 vintage (which in our opinion would have been way too young to have it open). We, in the end had it but it was a shame that this matter wasn't shared with the table before it got opened.

Having said that. We had a great experience. Love the Sakes and the hot...
