We had a good time at Restaurang ART. The food is great but the atmosphere could be improved on here and there.
After going through a staging area with a phone booth used to indicate your presence, a waitress took us to the main area where we were seated. The decor is artsy and the music loud, but not unpleasant. It does make it harder to have a normal conversation, so keep that in mind before booking.
The cocktails we had were OK, but not great. Not a unique experience, but quite middle of the road type drinks. The food was the best part of the night. The small plates followed in rapid succession and were creative takes on traditional meals, as well as unique and more uncommon dishes. We really enjoyed the food a lot.
The service we received was friendly and adequate. However, the naked waiters giving belly shots to girls two tables down was an unnecessary addition to the dining experience. And that really is something the management should consider. It's hard to take this restaurant as serious as the food warrants it to be, if this is the kind of atmosphere it is served in.
Price was 2000 SEK for 10 plates, 4 cocktails, a bottle of wine and 2 dessert wines....
Read moreI usually don’t take time off my day to write a review, but this is for you, who needs to see this and save your time, energy and money! This restaurant mastered the ART of being pretentious and having nothing but a “17-year-old-girls-dream” type of interior to back it up. The staff are there thinking they are entertainers and not servers, they recommend you order 3-4 dishes per person since they are medium sized portions and encourage you to share, however when we did get our dishes, there was barely anything to share! We got one dish after 30 minutes and the rest after another hour, almost makes you curious why each costs around 200 sek! The taste was MEH, but at least it doesn’t linger since there is almost nothing on the plate. We ordered a focaccia, and got three burned pieces of TOAST!!! Horrible time, insane prices! I feel sick from...
Read moreThe name doesn't lie. Very artsy place, not just the outside presentation, but the entrance and the restaurant itself. The food is out of this world especially for the price. Don't come in expecting to get full or something, it's all about experiencing the taste and texture of the food along with the given drinks. Staff is extremely friendly and atmosphere is phenomenal. Although crowded, you never feel claustrophobic. Tables are reserved very quickly, so make sure you don't double think it and reserve ASAP. Overall amazing experience, both me and my girlfriend left stunned by the overall...
