This is one of my worst restaurant experiences, if not the worst. They have very good food, but it’s not worth the wait. Their staff is extremly rude. When you enter the restaurant you do not feel welcomed. The staff doesn’t greet you nicely or wish you welcome. Me and my company had to wait an hour (!) for the food to arrive, even though we were just 2 people. The waitress took orders from people who came after us before us. Another couple came in long after us and they only had to wait 15-20 minutes for their food to arrive. It seems like they prefer their Indian customers over the rest and give them much faster, better service.
The female in the staff is very nonchalant and childish. There was a long line of Foodora, Wolt etc drivers waiting to pick up customers food. Almost all of them had to wait at least 30-45 min to get the customers orders, which is outrageous. When they tried to approach the female waitress, to ask how long it would take, she would just turn away and ignore them. One of the Wolt drivers finally had enough and went into the kitchen to ask why it was taking so long. The male staff started shouting at him and tried to push him out. The Wolt driver got really mad and the female waitress started laughing at him. This is extremely unprofessional and rude behaviour. The drivers already make a low salary out of this job and you start laughing at them and making fun of them?! I was livid when I saw this and I will never come back to this...

Upon tasting the food, I was transported back to India, and my palette was not disappointed. I was encouraged to try the Pani Puri and was reluctant to as I have had so many bad experiences I vowed never to try them again. However, when I did try it, my mind was actually blown away... the Pani (water) was exceptional. The sweet, sourness, and umami notes were PERFECTLY balanced, I literally could have drunk it as a separate beverage. I tried many courses and honestly could not remember how many to be precise. We finished off with Rasmalai, and even as an Indian, I do prefer Western desserts. BUT, the Rasmalai again converted me. I have never tried such a well-balanced dessert before. It's quite common for establishments to scrimp on spices, especially because of the cost, but they certainly did not scrimp on anything. Even my fussy mother (sorry, Mumma!) would have approved. It was perfect with a capital 'P'.
The service from the staff throughout was perfect. They were so attentive.
Whoever reads this, please support this wonderful establishment. They deserve so much more recognition and extra business.
Thank you Indian Street Food Co. If I ever visit Sweden again, I will definitely be visiting you...
Read moreIndian Street Food has been a favorite for many years now - we love coming back and testing new dishes, safe in the expectation that the food we eat will be authentic, and will hold nothing back. The curries are incredible - spicy, succulent, with enough kick to them to satisfy.
We got married this year, and quickly settled on Indian Street Food to cater for our wedding dinner. They were incredibly accommodating, and worked with us to create a suitable menu of our favorite dishes for about 50 guests. On the wedding day we were somewhat worried, because as with most things there is always something that can go wrong, but when we arrived at our venue and saw the food that had been provided, we were overjoyed! The food was incredible, and extremely satisfying to eat, with enough left over to stuff our freezer. The hot dishes were provided in heated containers that kept them warm throughout the dinner. The price was very humble for this quality and amount of food. We strongly recommend Indian Street Food as catering for any event, as they have shown themselves to be both skilled...
