Love the dumpling! Been there a couple of times and tried out different dishes everytime. Most dishes was nice, some of the sauces tasted a bit bland or overly powerful, like the sweet and sour sauce in my opinion. Some of the vegetables like peas dont taste fresh, while other do.
Service was lacking, not much awareness of you looking or simple gesturing. I tried at 3 separate occasions with the same waiter at busy, medium busy and no other customers. I needed to get up or raise your voice quite a bit to get attention. If you care about them asking about the food, I wouldn't expect any.
The restaurants decor is traditional in a nostalgic way, I remember when almost every chinese restaurant looked like that, but now many have the same modern look that many sushi places have. Atmosphere was a bit dimmer but in a more historic shop with electricity type of wibe, I liked it! If anything was lacking would maybe be the seat comfort is a bit low in my opinion, sitting over 30 minutes on a stiff wooden chair isn't that comfortable.
Summary, go here to eat traiditonal chinese dishes, not the same as China, but as close as you get in...
Read moreAbsolutely appalling service. I eat out every day and this is the first time I have come across such unprofessionalism. We had to ask 4 times for our order to be taken and the woman (blonde woman) said âyes yesâ and instead WENT AND MADE HERSELF A COFFEE BEHIND THE BAR AND KEPT DRINKING WHISKT AVOIDING EYE CONTACT WITH US!!!!!!!! we then asked a male server to take our order and he said âyes, 2 minutesâ, took 4 steps stood there (doing nothing) for a couple of seconds and then came back to take the order. Once he took the order we had to wait approx 30 minutes before another server (and he was THE ONLY professional server - Chinese gentleman) approached us and apologised as the other male server FORGOT!!!!!!! to give our order to the kitchen. What is shocking for me is that the male server that forgot to give the order couldnât even apologise himself - and he avoided eye contact with us all night! That is SO shocking! Later on we asked for the woman server to bring us water and she said yes but never brought anything! We had to ask 30 minutes later the Chinese male server - and he was legitimately the only professional and...
Read moreVery good service and ambiance. I ordered âCoupleâs Delightâ starter and âSzechuan fried chicken with bonesâ (the photos look identical to what I would get in San Francisco)
Price: like everything else in Stockholm, itâs a bit more expensive even compare to San Francisco. ($27+ total)
Authenticity: the seasoning they use is quite authentic but the taste is way too salty and too much oyster sauce for me. Also, the food doesnât look the same as the pictures if youâre very familiar with these dishes in Asia, be prepared that it will come out more westernized. My chicken dish came out as pieces of chicken breasts instead of with bones, and more like stir fried than fried which is how I this dish is usually.
Based on all the local positive feedback, I have to assume that thereâs no truly authentic Chinese restaurant here. So if youâre really craving for Chinese food, go for it.
I didnât get to try the Beijing duck though - which seems to be the...
