Lagerbaren — Restaurant in Stockholm

This corner pub has a suitable atmosphere for leisurely dining for guests, conveniently located by the Hotel Clarion just down the block. Coming in on an hour where the crowd level seemed to be relatively quieter and more relaxed. The wait staff was highly attentive and very friendly, with never the slightest impression of being unkind. Also speaking in English as needed. There were two orders aside a pint of a lager called [Bernard/Czech Republic]:1) a filet of sirloin steak with pommes frites and salad, 2) an order of Fish & Chips. Now what was so delightfully great about this was that everything is a produce of Sweden. The potatoes, the fish cod, to the steak. Which in my opinion is greatly more flavorful than anything American. Especially the crispness of the pommes frites (steak fries). Absolutely delicious. Overall the meals were indeed very tasty and wholesome. With the right proportion per serving for an individual order. The patrons are not very snobby but well, sometimes that’s not always true for some women. But also a great spot for working...

Ordered the cheapest beer on the menu during the whole evening! When getting the bill they charged us with a German premium beer (Paulaner). Which it definitely wasn’t (I’m German). So in the end it was basically doubled the price. So if you order something they will give something completely else and rip you of! SCAM!!!

PS. I definitely didn’t order Paulaner! I ordered a “stor stark”...

Nondescript from outside but a warm welcome inside. Quick service, always a seat at least at the bar. I've not eaten here much but what I had was good pub fare; can't say much more on that. But the sort of place where you go away for 6 months and get a big bear hug when you come back. A great local and obviously the real locals (unlike me) have been going...
