So it was my very first time in Stockholm this year and I was staying at a lovely hostel up the road. Being winter I love a good coffee and a nice cake and I just randomly walked into this place on Ringvagen and the guy inside, not sure if he is the owner or the manager was so warm and friendly which was really nice. I asked for a Mocha and he made an amazing one for me. I tried the traditional Swedish cakes/buns and also had a lovely compot. The ambience is very lively and very cosy, it seems to be very popular with the regulars but it can also be quiet enough to get lost in a book, which I did :). I recommend this place so much, the staff were so nice and it left me with a very happy memory of my first time in Sweden. I visited it three times while I was there. I would love to go again should I be lucky...
Read moreMuch more than meets the eye in this cozy little cafe. Have you ever read or seen the magical realist tale, "Like Water for Chocolate"? Alberto and Macarena, while both Swedish, their Cuban and Chilean roots and perhaps even their love and life stories, are delicately woven into the beautiful, fresh, artful food and warm feelings coming from this place. Not to mention i believe they have one of the best räksallader i have ever had. Just what Stockholm is longing for.
Normally they're a daytime cafe but if you like what you taste, and want to try a Cuban dinner, ask Alberto if he has availability to prepare a prix fixe menu for you and friends sometime. We had a wonderful, affordable, meal for 7 and an evening full of laughs here in...

The interior is mediocre swedish cafe, with old sofa and tables. They have 2 floors which interestingly unofficially divided with ground floor for people who sit to eat and chat then second floors for people who like a bit quite place for study or work. The bakery seems standard, the carrots cake is fine. I drank cactus tea and it's fine. It can have more cleaner place tho, if they have 4 staff work together, surely they can pick the dirty dishes on the table. The soup looks like a favourite here, and I will try it next time. Note! They don't have wifi here, so might not best place for...
