We came here using reservations through the Fork app (for the discount!). Our other previous experiences with the restaurants on the Fork had been wonderful until we came and eat at this restaurant. Now we have been extremely careful in choosing which restaurants to choose when reserving through the Fork.
Why, you might ask. First, the foods were just pure trash. I’m not Indian but I’ve had authentic Indian food as I have a lot of Indian friends that were born and raised in India and had me try some of the most authentic Indian cuisines. Yet, this place is an insult to Indian cuisine. The food at this restaurant was mediocre at best. Even if you buy a frozen Indian food from the market, it still would’ve tasted better. The naan tasted like a rubbery store-bought flatbread, and the ‘chicken tikka masala’ and ‘korma’ was overly sweet, watered-down mess that didn’t remotely resemble the dish. If you’ve ever tasted real Indian food, this will just make you pissed. It’s overpriced for what feels like microwaved mediocrity.
Next, the owner will just continuously disturb your dining experience by asking some random and racist questions, making unnecessary assumptions about your origin. He wouldn’t take your feedback on their food as if they’ve done their best and acted as if their food was the best Indian food in town.
Don’t waste your money here—find a real Indian restaurant that respects the cuisine instead of butchering it for clueless diners. Never...
Read moreIf you are looking to eat vegan curry at this restaurant, expect to be disappointed. The first difficulty you will face is to choose from the four vegan dishes offered because there is no information on the content of the dish except to say it's vegetables with or without vegan protein. When asked, the waiter could name three vegetables that's included - potato, pumpkin, spinach. When asked what sauce is used, I was told curry without cream. Vegetarian dishes, on the other hand, had a detailed list of the ingredients. I chose the vegan curry with spinach at 169kr. What I received was a greenish mushy sludge without much flavour or spice. Fortunately I also ordered the poppadum which had with it mango chutney (read mango jam) which I could put on my rice and vegetable slush to give it some flavour. The portions are also small considering the price. The ambience of the restaurant was nice, the people are friendly, so it's not a horrible place. But if you are vegan, well, choose...
Read moreI would rate 5 start to this restaurant for the customer experience,
I am an Indian living in Stockholm more than year now, I would like to try different restaurants whenever it's possible. Today, I have order Biryani and they asked do I want in Indian style. I said that will be great, with in few minutes they served the food.
When I tried the food, I haven't liked the food. Looking at my face, the restaurant owner came to me asked how was the food. I replied, I didn't liked the food.
He said sorry that I did not liked the food, soon he and another one person who is working in the restaurant asked me they can cook again for me or they can give me some other food based on my choice.
I asked the Nan bread, I ate with the gravy which they gave with Briyani, which I liked it with bread. At last they only charged me for the bread.
This is what exactly I would look for from the restaurant. He handled the situation...
