What a horrible place of poor quality people. We are from South Africa and wanted a good meal on a Sunday in Stockholm. We found ourselves in Eately, sadly. We were seated and then completely ignored. We asked for service, but none was forthcoming. We approached the gentleman who was meant to serve us, and he was extremely belligerent and rude in response. When called out for his behaviour, he became aggressive. This was in full view of staff, management & patrons. In the end we were moved and assigned to another waiter, but because she needed to show solidarity to her misbehaving colleague, she continued with the bad service (very passive aggressive tendencies). At one one point she plonked the wine on our table, leaving it for us to pour for ourselves! The staff there (and I mean everyone who works there) have been allowed to be unprofessional and disrespectful. I was transported all the way back to Apartheid South Africa. This establishment doesn’t represent its country well and I hope they go out of business and are replaced by an eatery that respects and welcomes everyone.
*In response to my complaint here, the manager Maria gaslights me. Maria, two of your waiters are totally violent in their behavior. The rest are complicit. No, they were not provoked as you seem to suggest. And nobody whistled, snapped at them or demanded services. That is categorically not true. However, when called out for their aggressive behavior, instead of showing contrition they dialled up their disgusting attitude. I for one am not sorry for how my friends & I reacted to being demeaned & disrespected. What was allowed to happen at your establishment will never be okay. You are extremely lucky we did not whip out our phones & document the entire sorry service. Your establishment will trend internationally for very wrong...
Read moreI came here based on a recommendation from a local. The grocery section is great-all quality products from Italy. The host at the restaurant downstairs was helpful in recommending gluten-free dishes that could be found upstairs. Unfortunately, this is where things took a turn. My friend and I went to the restaurant upstairs for dinner and looked over the menu for several minutes while waiting for the host to come over and get us. No one came, so we decided to walk into the restaurant and find the host. I don't know who was hosting on November 4th around 7pm, but that guy was straight up rude. When we made contact with him, we said we would like to eat here for dinner. He said we needed to wait out by the front in the waiting area. Fair enough. I responded saying that we’ve been waiting a while, but no one ever came out to greet us, which is why we walked in to find the host. He responded in a condescending and snarky tone saying that they were too busy serving the other guests. I’m not going to judge this person’s character based on this short interaction. Maybe he was having a bad day or something, but I don’t think that was an acceptable way to interact with a customer or person for that matter. Based on the other reviews I’ve read before writing this post, I see that other visitors have experienced snooty attitudes from the staff at this place. Wish I had read them before considering dining here. In conclusion, I cannot recommend dining at ties Eataly branch until they learn how to provide decent...
Read moreI will write a review here since they decided to avoid reviews on the Facebook page instead of thinking to develop a customer service that replies to customers (I waited one week) - other Eataly around the world had the guts replying to feedbacks at least. Had aperitivo on March 4th in the Piazza, loved how professional was the bartender, but the standard of negroni given is clearly pretty watery for its price (160 sek). Service is far to be called so at the restaurant upstairs because attention to detail is completely forgotten. Wrong beer brought to my table, silverware not replaced when taken away (got them by myself because I already had my meal served). Pizza undercooked (the first one sent back shown clearly a hole in one of the bubbles, sign of a check from the pizzaiolo not sure about the dough). "Complimentary" Cannolo given to my table without a word about it... and.... if I'm Italian and I ask for an Enkel Espresso I assume I have a classic standard Italian coffee, not a watery one served in a double espresso cup. I'm very sorry about the review, but I was waiting so much for a day off having an authentic Italian meal and it was a mediocre experience. There's, maybe, more need of internal training and coaching in order to succeed in Sweden. Day after update Checking the charge for 2 beers, 2 pizze, 1 arancino, 1 caffè the total would be 557 sek. Belopp paid 632 sek. So thanks, you made me pay for a cannolo that I didn't order, alla faccia della cortesia 🤨 First and last time I go...
