Pas D’art — Restaurant in Stockholm

I am from Stockholm, Sweden. I have been to this place a couple of times with a bunch of well-known musician/influencers. It is known for its drinks, which are actually pretty good, and the Swedish-speaking staff. However, this time the experience was super unprofessional.

When my girlfriend and I arrived at the restaurant, we were greeted by a Swedish waitress. Due to the waiting time, they offered us two glasses of cava. Then we were seated outside, where two waitresses worked alongside a French-speaking guy who was super arrogant and tried to flirt with my girlfriend, which made her feel uncomfortable. You can imagine my reaction…

Anyways, after getting the receipt, we noticed that the two cava drinks were on the bill. We started discussing this with the staff, who said, "Oh no, we did not give you any drinks for free." After a bit of back and forth, they gave us a new receipt.

I am not sure if the staff thought that I was a tourist or that I was on my first date.

The entrecôte meat was full of tendons and not medium rare and like I mentioned earlier the French-speaking waiters were superarrogant, slow (needed to wait 20mins for a cocktail) & almost ignoring...

We chose this place as a perk of our AMEX experience and were blown away! It is situated on one of our more high end areas and streets. It used to be a cafe where old people with money would rest their feet while shopping. So I had my prejudice. But OMG, the service was, save a stressed/uninterested first contact to lead us to our table, was impeccable! Our server was welcoming and personable and very attentive. The owner/manager took time to help us decide on the wine, which, though expensive, was exquisite. We had the tuna tartare and the beef tartare, excellent. Me and my boyfriend wanted to have a dessert and coffee, we asked to be seated at a normal table - the lady waiter told us it’s not possible because the table were only for lunch (it was 3pm). She wanted to seat us on the side where the chairs didn’t have back support. I told her that my back is completely blocked and would like to have another type of chair - she refused. If you are that impolite with customers : do not work in the restaurant industry ! I have never been treated this way in a restaurant in Stockholm, too bad didn’t get to try the food but I will for sure never...
