El Cielo - Tapas & Cava — Restaurant in Stockholm

Really bad service. Not so friendly, language barrier either way if we spoke English or Swedish. They ran out of several things on the menu, forgot to take the last person’s order and walked away, forgot to make 2 dishes, long waiting time and had to remind several times that we wanted water and to order a second drink, which I waited so long that everyone else finished 2 in the meantime from their sangria jug and mine arrived just as we were leaving.

I asked what I could eat without onion and garlic and after a lot of back and forth they gave me some options to order. One dish came back with onion chopped on top and the other had both ingredients inside but apologized after I finished eating for getting it wrong. By which time I already had an allergic reaction in my face (and stomach pain the next day).

I spoke to another waitress explaining my issue that I wanted something without these ingredients, she walked away and never came back. After waiting thinking she was going to return and everyone had finished (and I only ate 2 empanadas), I asked for a plate of fries which I knew could be safe but I was told I would have to wait a long time as there are many other orders first, the fries also arrived about 5mins before we had to leave 🙈 on top of this, they did not say ‘here is some discount’ or ‘you don’t have to pay for the empanadas that we made a mistake with’ I had to state that this was not ok and that I pay for all except the...

Title: Disappointing Experience at El Cielo

Review: Our recent visit to El Cielo was unfortunately far from what we expected. To our surprise, the menu presented to us in the restaurant didn't align with what we found on their website. Several grilled dishes, which were prominently listed online, were nowhere to be found on the actual menu.

While the quality of the meat was passable, the sauce was a letdown. It tasted quite cheap and lacked any particular distinction in flavor. What's more, we were served the exact same sauce for both our starters, which felt repetitive and lacked thoughtfulness.

Furthermore, we were disappointed by the lack of engagement from the staff. At no point during our meal were we asked if we were enjoying our food or if there was anything else we needed. The absence of this simple courtesy was felt.

In summary, while El Cielo certainly had the potential to be an enjoyable dining experience, the mismatched menus, mediocre sauce, and unresponsive service left us...

I booked a table using the fork app at 8 30 pm. I arrived with my friends 3 mins early, and told the staff that we had a reservation. The staff told us that they need 10 mins to prepare the table, and asked us to wait for a bit. After 15 mins passing, we asked again and the staff said they need 5 more minutes. At 9 pm we asked again and the staff shrugged her shoulder, smirked, and said we have to wait 5 more minutes as customers were going to pay soon and leave. 9:05 pm, we ask another staff and they laugh saying we just have to wait. By that point my friends and I decided to leave because it was extremely unprofessional attitude by the staff both in making us wait so long and their behavior. When we exited from the door, another staff said 5 mins and the table will be ready! We said thanks and just left.
